5m Yurt Tucked Away In Secluded ‘Bramble Hollow’
Come stay at Treflach Farm for a day or so and explore the Shropshire/North Wales border (the Marches). We have a little farm shop with essentials and wood available for a campfire too. There is a little kitchenette & bar in the Leyland Arms and luxury toilet and shower facilities in the straw bale eco build approx 5min from the yurt. The yurt has an internal groundsheet, coir mat & sheep skin rug. A double bed & mattress is provided (please bring your own bedding & towels). In August (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) I returned to the family farm from working in London and abroad in the Petrochemical Industry beginning a journey to revitalise a small scale, hillside farm in the family since (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) The aim was to prove that small scale agriculture can indeed be environmentally aware, promote biodiversity and remain viable in the modern world. Today we here at Treflach Farm look after the land and animals, run courses & make delicious veggie, Gluten Free and free-range meat pies in our on-site bakery (feel free to place an order of a pie or two available on your arrival!). A real working farm, we have free range grass fed Hereford cattle and outdoor pigs. We also work with a wide range of client groups including primary school children, young adults with behavioural difficulties, learning difficulties and disabilities, and adults with mental health issues. For more information about who we are and what we do (Hidden by Airbnb) Treflach Farm. You are welcome to explore all parts of the farm and meet the animals. A busy little farm, we live on site and so are always on hand if you have any questions or need anything extra. Plenty of on site parking (we are a farm!). You can drive to the yurt to unload belongings however we ask you to move your car to the carpark afterward. There are lots of walks to go on across the farm, there are nature reserves to visit next door and a canal a 10 minute drive away. The ‘hot tub’ outdoor bath is fed with piping hot water from our ground source heat pump and fills in about 5 minutes. While it may look a little rustic, when sitting in hot water looking over the Shropshire plain with a glass of something tasty - it’s pretty magical! The toilet and shower block is a 5 minute walk up the hill from the yurt however there is a private compost toilet for emergencies! There are other private platforms available for dining and sunbathing or you could hire a bell tent or two from us and invite some friends or family to join you! There is power in the yurt for phones etc and lights too. There is a kettle with complimentary tea bags inside while there is hot and cold water at the outdoor kitchen 20m away. Wifi is available in the courtyard (near the kitchenette/dry space) but not in the yurt. There is a seating area in the courtyard you are welcome to use too.
