The Thistle House

Welcome to The Thistle House named in honor of Chardon, the French word for thistle. We invite you to enjoy a spacious 3 Bdrm, 2 full bath home in the heart of Geauga County. Nearby restaurants, shops, parks, walking trails, golfing, festivals and more will make you want to stay longer. We look forward to hosting you and suggesting anything from a great restaurant to a fun part of Northeastern Ohio to explore. This lovely home was built in 1830 and has a great living room with cable smart tv, 3 bedrooms (master has a queen bed, 2 full beds in the back bedroom and third bedroom has a pull-out full bed), a work station, large full first floor bathroom, eat-in kitchen with stainless steel appliances, second full bathroom off the kitchen, basement laundry, mud room and upstairs coffee and sitting room. High speed wifi throughout the whole house. Outback we have a lovely outdoor table,chairs, lounging couch, shed with a garden and a fire pit. You’ll find a little bit of peace in the backyard that is carved into a private rocky nook. The whole property is yours to enjoy. We will always be around if needed. We maintain the gardens, lawn and snow removal, so we may be around to say hello! We love to introduce ourselves to our guests, but we travel often, too!
