Logis du Tertre - Thornybrush. 4 bedroom gite.

Our gîte Thornybrush is a lovely 4 bedroom house with an open dining room / living room / kitchen on the ground floor with all necessary amenities. In the large grounds is a beautiful, secure, shared swimming pool (10 x 5m) that is open from 1st May to 30th September, barn with games, table tennis and plenty of space for ball / racquet sports or just relaxing. On the ground floor (in addition to the Kitchen/Lounge/Dining area) you will find a master suite with double bedroom, ensuite shower room with WC and direct direct access to the terrace. On the 2nd floor you will find 3 further bedrooms (1 double and 2 twin rooms) as well as a bathroom with shower and bath and a separate wc. Relaxed owners live privately on site but are always available if needed. We welcome every group with a hamper of essentials to help you move in and start relaxing straight away instead of running off to the supermarket. Hamper contents comprises of:- olive oil, herbs, salt & pepper, Nespresso pods, tea bags, sugar cubes, dishwasher tablets and some liquid refreshment as well as flowers from our garden - depending upon the season. Logis du Tertre is found 3 kms from the delightful, little town of Mauzé sur le Mignon and also within very easy driving distance of Surgeres and Niort. An easy, flat bike ride into Mauzé brings you to a couple of restaurants, an Intermarché, a Lidl, post office, Tabac and a couple of Boulangeries where the friendly locals will serve you with a genuine smile. Further afield is the town of Surgeres with its medieval ramparts, lively twice-weekly market and loads of bars/restaurants as well as out-of-town shopping. To the north-east you can reach the bustling market town of Niort in less than half an hour with its chateau, cinema, shops and bistro culture. For lovers of the seaside drive 30-40 minutes West and you will reach the Charente-maritime coast where you can visit La Rochelle, Rochefort, Il de Ré and the Ile d'Oleron as well as many others. our particular favourite is the seaside town of Chatelaillon Plage with its relaxed, seaside chic, casino and beach bars. To keep your stay competitively priced there is no mandatory cleaning charge for 2022. Instead, we ask that our guests leave the gîte exactly how they found it. To help this we have extended our check-out time to 11h00 to give you more time. We will also provide suitable cleaning materials.
