Welcome to Perkley Retreat only 1 mile outside of Much Wenlock with one of the best views in Shropshire! Ideally located for Shropshire's main highlights. Newly renovated to a high standard, our cottage will have everything you need for your stay. The master bedroom with sweeping views across the valley has a Superking size bed (can also be 2 singles) and the double sofa bed downstairs makes the property suitable for couples or young family’s. Modern open-plan living with fully kitted kitchen/dining area. Cosy living room area with wood-burner with bi-fold doors leading to private outside dining space/ sun terrace. Large super king-size bedroom (can be 2 singles) with White Company Bed linen and gable end picture window with views of the Corvedale valley and Brown Clee. Tranquil bathroom with large shower, free standing bath and Egyptian cotton towels. Perkley Retreat is located approximately 1 mile outside Much Wenlock so by a 2 minute car journey or a 15-20 minute walk via a signed circular Public Footpath accessed from a gate directly from the property Ample and secure parking for two guest vehicles. We live on-site in Perkley House, so we are available to give you the key for the cottage on arrival (or via a key safe) after-which you can come and go as you please. Free, secure and private parking for up to 2 cars is available for you to use throughout your stay. There is a also locked storage areas for bikes. Only a 2 minute drive or a 20 minute scenic walk to the centre of historic Much Wenlock with its independent shops, pubs, restaurant and museums. Much Wenlock is a picturesque historic Shropshire town - famously known as the birthplace of the modern Olympic Games. Many varied walks from the doorstep with direct access to the stunning Wenlock Edge. A vibrant market town known locally for its high quality/ friendly butcher, deli, bakers, fresh fruit and veg stalls. There are also many places to choose eat and drink from cafes, pubs and restaurants. Visit the beautiful Holy Trinity parish church, Wenlock Priory or Buildwas Abbey 5 minutes away. Much Wenlock is a 10 minutes drive from the World Heritage site of Ironbridge and 15-20 minutes to historic Shrewsbury. Ludlow and Church Stretton are also within easy reach. We are very happy to share some of our favourite Shropshire walks as well as those direct from the door. We are lucky to be situated on the Perkley Round - a circular walk to Much Wenlock.
