Aku Hut - Coco Oasis Boutique Lodge

Coco Oasis is a newly renovated boutique lodge in the heart of lively Bakau, The Gambia. The lovely lodge has six huts and a swimming pool. Each hut has a bedroom with a double bed, a living room with a sofa bed, a bathroom and a terrace on the front of the house with a table and two chairs. There are comfortable sun beds and chairs around the swimming pool to relax. We offer our guest airport transportation, trips and a car with a driver (additional cost). Welcome! Our guests have the hut with a bedroom, a living room, a bathroom and a terrace on their own use. The yard and swimming pool with comfortable chairs and sun beds is shared. The lodge is located in Bakau, the most developed town in The Gambia. It’s in the heart of the town, just a few hundred meters from the beach opposite of it and around the restaurants, cafes and bars. It is next to the craft market and a less than a kilometer walk to the Cape Point and a crocodile park. There is a five star hotel and many fine restaurants in the area, but also local restaurants and entertainment available.The lodge is situated in the area where there are tourist attractions and locals living, and it offers unique opportunity to experience the best of The Gambia and the both sides of it. It has an easy access to anywhere in The Gambia and there are a lot to do in Bakau. We are happy to give you our tips and help you to organize experiences on your vacation in here! Please remember that Gambia is one of the poorest countries in the world and developing country. The water, electricity and wifi don't work all the time. Also it can be a bit of a shock on the beginning to see the enviroment. The standard of cleaness etc. are not same as in European or the western world's. The lodge's location is excellent. It's within a walking distance from all the attractions in Bakau: beaches, restaurants, bars, craft market and crocodile park. It is also just a few kilometers away from Fajara's golf and tennis club and the restaurants in Fajara. There are taxis on the street front of the lodge. The lodge offers it's clients a car with a driver to rent for a day as well as airport pick up and drop off. We also organize trips to all the tourist attractions and some secret spots in Gambia and one day or overnight safari trips to Fathala, Senegal. There is 24/7 security in the lodge and security cameras outside. Gambia is one of the poorest countries in the world and therefore many people are desperate and do just about anything for money. We have zero tolerance for any abuse of people. We do not allow our guests to bring locals or any night guest to Coco Oasis to ensure that we don’t support any kind of sex tourism.
