Cosy Grain Store Barn Conversion Devon.
Formerly a grain store and stable, sympathetically refurbished with lots of character. Modern kitchen and bathroom and a huge bedroom. Surrounding farmland and only 10 minutes walk to the market town of Crediton. Excellent base for exploring Devon. We have just completed a fabulous stables conversion which is also listed on air BNB, take a look and see which one you prefer. The grain store is part of a partially converted set of barns. Bernie and Fran live in the Cart Shed across the courtyard. Opposite is another beautifully restored Air bnb listing called the stables. Inside the grain store has been refurbished to a high standard. Its a great place to relax or explore from. Downstairs is an open plan kitchen/breakfast bar/lounge area. Its a really cosy area with a stone wall, large beams, a wooden floor and comfy sofa There is a TV with freeview and DVD player. The modern wet room with shower and WC is on the ground floor. Upstairs is one huge space with a comfy king size bed. The window looks over the Devon Hills, its lovely to wake up to. The staircase leads directly up into the bedroom so there is no bedroom door. Outside the barns are constructed of beautiful brickwork, slated roofs, stone patios, timber decking with seating areas to enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of wine or beer in the evening. The grain store is a self contained annexe to the Barn. So the whole of the annexe is yours. We ll be a s flexible as we can on check in check out dependent on other guests. Bernie and Fran live in the main barn on the other side of the courtyard. We ll be there to welcome you and help you make the most of your stay. If you want to get away and not talk to anyone we ll leave you to it! But if you want anything at all just ask. We re not there all the time because we work and also like traveling. Chapel Downs Barn feels like a rural setting with countryside around, but it's only a 10 minute walk into town so you get the best of both. Situated in the rolling hills of Mid Devon its an ideal base to explore the rest of Devon. There is a bus stop at the bottom of Road which takes you to Exeter or North Devon. The train station is on the other side of the town. The upstairs has low beams so you will need to mind your head. Wifi on occasion does drop out. You will see from the reviews that no one has had any problems with wifi, but it is not 24 7 guaranteed superfast broadband South Devon Seaside towns 45 minutes away Surfing beaches of North Devon and Cornwall are about an hour away Dartmoor National Park 30 minute away Walk to village pubs or coffee shops in Crediton Cathedral City of Exeter 20 minutes away for shopping, museum, The Quay, Cinemas, 10 pin bowling
