Tranquil Valley Home, 4 guests 2 upstairs bedrooms. This comfortable home is nestled in the Karekare valley and only a flat five minute walk to the beach access, glades and waterfall. The house is next to the Karekare stream and has parking at the door, a sunny north facing aspect with a verandah and large lawn. There is a full bathroom and kitchen, and a log burner with plenty of fire wood. We have a large selection of DVDs, relaxing CD’s, family games, BBQ, and double hammocks to relax in. Tranquil Valley Home 4 guests 2 private loft bedrooms (1 queen and 2 single beds) Our established and comfortable home is nestled in the Karekare valley and is only a five minute flat walk to access this world class beach. The Karekare stream flows through the property edge surrounded by native bush. You can drive over the bridge, right up to the house with parking for three cars. The property has a sunny north facing aspect connected to a large meadow where you can sling one of our double hammocks under the established pohutukawa trees and relax. The house is cozy and relaxing. It has a newly renovated bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, tea and coffee making facilities and log burner with plenty of fire wood for those chilly nights. We have a large selection of DVDs for all ages, relaxing CD’s, family games, BBQ, and two double hammocks. The interior has been fully painted recently. You will chill out here! Karekare, like many other parts of the West Coast, does not have good mobile phone reception or internet capability. As such there is no internet at the house. There is some mobile reception at the house but it is better down towards or on the beach. Karekare is consistently rated one of New Zealand’s and the world’s top beaches. There are seven km’s of beach walk down to Whatipu for that complete remote experience. As it is a dangerous surf beach swim only when the lifeguards are on duty and never alone. There are no shops at Karekare so you need to bring everything you need. Whole house We will be available to help you if needed but it is generally an easy property to stay in. Karekare is quiet. It's a big surf beach so swimming is only recommended when the lifeguards are on duty. There are great walks, waterfalls and miles of black sand beach to walk on. No food or cafes at Karekare but there are places at Piha - a 10 min drive away. There is no public transport to Karekare.
