Let the peace of a by-gone era seep into your bones in our beautifully appointed cottage, tucked between rolling farmland and the banks of the William’s River.  Make yourself a cuppa and enjoy the view from the veranda over a lush private meadow and up to the majestic Barrington Tops National Park.   Unique & perfectly formed, our cottage has been lovingly restored by the owners Mike and Kate, and combines a rustic feel with modern features.   The two bedrooms each have comfortable queen sized beds, sleeping a total of four guests.   The open plan living room and kitchen, as well as both bedrooms, have their own access onto the wide veranda that wraps around three sides of the cottage.   The bathroom is luxuriously appointed, with an additional ‘dunny’ outside the cottage.   Drift in the clear waters and uninterrupted tranquillity of the river, a minute’s stroll from the cottage down an easy track. Your only audience will be the birds and if you’re lucky one of our local platypus. . Grab your lilo and adventure up stream, where the river winds amongst rocky banks and tangles of ferns and vines.  If you go far enough you will discover a hidden waterfall, cascading over ancient boulders. The timber deck overhanging the river is a perfect spot for yoga, an evening cocktail, or just to dangle your feet in the cool mountain water.   Let the magic of the night draw you outside for a moonlight stroll along the meadow or to toast marshmallows around the fire pit beneath a canopy of stars. In winter get cosy on the couch in front of the open fire, before retiring to bed with the gentle murmur of the river to lull you to sleep.   Wake to birdsong each morning to begin another day of doing exactly as much or as little as your heart desires. Our cottage is a 35 minute drive from the bustling little township of Dungog, where you can stock up on supplies, buy a holiday page-turner and while away some time at one of the local cafés.     If bushwalking appeals, you can lose yourself amongst the soaring eucalypts and ancient rainforests of Barrington Tops National Park.   The start of the Blue Gum loop trail is only a sauntering 20 minute walk or 2 minute drive from your front door. Cyclists can challenge themselves on the recently completed and highly acclaimed mountain bike track. The track is a short drive away on the outskirts of Dungog at the Common. Cool down after your ride with a visit to the Tin Shed to enjoy a locally brewed beer!
