Here is spare room with a comfortable double bed in a light and airy home. You'll have your own modern bathroom across the hall, which doubles as a laundry. Some nights per week the bathroom may be shared with another guest. Wifi and off street parking are included! I've listed check in time at 5pm but can usually negotiate an earlier time, especially on weekends. You are most welcome to use the kitchen and lounge space. The room has a bedside table and small desk with wifi and off street parking. You're welcome to use the kitchen and herbs/ spices if you need to. Coffee and a choice of teas are offered. We are serviced by a bus to Canberra which finishes around 9:30 pm and operates hourly on weekends Queanbeyan is located 20 minutes drive from the centre of Canberra and you will drive past farmland to get there. If you are looking for a place that is close to Canberra's nightlife, there are plenty of accommodation options in the nearer suburbs. This rural town is located in beautiful surrounds with some mountain views old buildings and a river with wild flowers in summer. It's one of my favourite places and still a short drive from all Canberra has to offer. I share the house with 2 cockatiels (pet birds) who are friendly and bright. The have their own space in a sunroom attached to the living room and if you wish I will guide you through relating to them in their space. If it's not for you, they will not disturb you in the main part of the house. If you are having full meals here I prefer that you dont take them in the bedroom, the living room is set up for casual meals. Please use the exhaust fan in the bathroom, especially if you take longer showers. If you spend most of your day inside the bedroom, then please open the window a little to circulate the air.
