The spacious flat is across two levels and makes an ideal base for visitors to the Edinburgh Festivals. Aberdour is a small, friendly village on the east cost of Scotland, just across the famous Forth Bridge, from Edinburgh. It offers a home bakery, some small independent shops and several cafes and other eating establishments with very good food and pleasant surroundings. It has very active bowling, golf, sailing and tennis clubs, a very popular play park and two beaches. There is plenty of free parking. Once you get here you will probably prefer to walk everywhere. The village is pretty and compact. There is a short cut between the beaches through the ancient castle grounds or a path along the prize-winning station gardens. The bridge over the Dour burn will be reinstated In October. There are also several very scenic walks leading out of the village to other towns and villages along the coast. Access to the flat is via steps at the rear of the building. Parking is at the Dovecot Gates immediately opposite the Woodside Hotel, about 100 yards east of the property (toward the village centre).
