Three Cliffs Cabin, Gower - Poppy Lodge

Hidden in to the dunes above Three Cliffs Bay, just a stones throw from the coastal path and moments from Pennard Castle, you will find yourself at our rustic and romantic cabin - Poppy Lodge. Hand built with love and reclaimed materials, our space is the perfect spot to emerse yourself in to nature, relax, unwind and enjoy everything that the Gower Peninsular has to offer. The perfect stay for couples and solo travelers, walkers, swimmers and nature lovers! The cabin is open plan, charming and cosy. Wooden Walls, filled with colorful materials and quirky touches - our space is the perfect spot for couples and solo travelers. The Kitchen Area - here you will find everything you need to cook up an evening meal, prep lunch for a day on the beach or for your morning coffee in the garden. Please note that there is no oven in the cabin, guests are able to use a two ring burner and a combi microwave/grill for cooking. The Sleeping Area - A spacious double bed, under the eves and set in its peaceful corner. If you are wanting a little more privacy, a curtain can be pulled to separate the bed from the living area - you'll be sure to get a good nights sleep! The Living Area - Sit back and relax on the sofa, with the view out to the garden area. Light fills this room through the double doors and makes for the perfect spot to sit and soak up the peace and quiet, read a book or enjoy a cup of tea! The Bathroom - Set back from the living area you will find the bathroom with a shower, toilet and wash basin. Please note that although the shower is hot, the water in the bathroom sink is cold only. Towels and dressing gowns are provided, you'll be sure to feel at home. The Garden Area - your very own private sun trap. Enjoy the listening to the sound of the birds and the rustling of the trees, the smell of cedar from our bespoke handmade fence. There is a BBQ should you want to cook outside. And a table and chairs for dining alfresco - perfect for those warmer evenings! Poppy Lodge is tucked away in to a peaceful corner of Sandylane. Which like its name suggests, is an off the beaten track lane. The track to the property is bumpy, so please keep this in mind when making your booking. Parking is on the road, behind the cabin. Once parked, should you want too - there is no need to drive off the lane till your day to go home. Everything you need and more is within walking distance to the property. The famous Pennard Castle is 10 minute walk over the links from the cabin, perfect to catch the evening sunset. Beyond the castle you can walk down through the dunes to Three Cliffs Bay, voted in to the top 20 beaches of Europe - it really is spectacular. In all directions there are beautiful walks to enjoy weather that be inland through woodland and valleys, to the coastal paths and exploring the coves beyond Three Cliffs. Poppy Lodge is next door to Leah and her family home. Should you need anything, we are more than happy to pop by on your request. We want our guests to be at ease and know that they have their full space and privacy throughout their stay. Sandylane is a magical and charming community, which guests are guaranteed to fall in love with. The homes here are all unique. Expect to see quirky wooden chalets, colorful cabins and impressive eco builds. If you take a walk and explore Sandylane, you will feel the strong sense of community - which is something quiet special and that Sandylane is well known for. There are no street lights or pavements here, you will totally escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life during your stay! Once here, getting around is easy! Parking is off road, behind the cabin and once you arrive should you want, there is no reason to leave till you go home. For those not arriving by car, there is a bus stop a short 5/10 minute walk from the property. Linking you to Swansea city center where further bus routes and the train station can be found. We are on bus route number 14. From the cabin you can walk/cycle to all our local amenities (these are plentiful), access the coastal path and the beautiful walks in our local area. To explore further afield and more of what Gower has to offer, we are located a 5 minute drive down the hill to Gower Road - the main road taking you further in to North and South Gower or out towards Mumbles and Swansea.
