Beach House Little Bay Up High Northern Coromandel

A open plan home with stunning views and lots of space overlooking one of the best fishing and swimming beaches on the Coromandel. There are two double bedrooms, a large open plan kitchen and living room with extensive views over native bush to the beach and wrap around decks to the northern and western side. The house can sleep 4 adults comfortably. The master bedroom is upstairs with the bathroom and the double bedroom downstairs. There is a single separate toilet. The house is fully furnished including many kitchen extras. Access is private up a driveway which ensures your privacy, yet you are less than five minutes walk to the beach. Parking is directly at the back door (easy access and no need to carry up stairs) and the house is surrounded by native bush. Little Bay is 28 kilometers north from Coromandel town on the Eastern Coast. The road is not sealed and you should plan to drive with care. The scenery on the drive requires so time to stop and take photos or simply enjoy the view. Plan at least 50 minutes drive from Coromandel, which is also the last town for food , petrol and all medical supplies. All amenities can be found in Coromandel, we recommend buying some freshly smoked fish, enjoying a organic cafe either in town, or at the Driving creek railway on you’re way. Coromandel has fantastic coffee and great handmade local art and designs. Draped with ancient Pohutakawa (New Zealand’s own christmas tree) trees and soft white sand Little Bay and it’s small sister beach Teeny Bay are among the most idyllic and pristine beaches to be found in the north island of New Zealand. Situated within 2 1/2 hours drive from Auckland city centre, this is paradise without the people and home to the dolphin pods whom frequent the bay. The bay is surrounded by native bush and local fauna,whistling Tui’s are heard from the balcony and the sound of Kereru ( native wood pigeons ) overhead are frequent visitors. The beach is popular and safe for swimming, snorkeling, diving, and fishing. The area is surrounded by natural walking tracks through subtropical forest with spectacular over the pacific toward Great Barrier Island. Next to Little Bay is the 3 km white sand surf beach of Waikawau Bay. Boogie boards, beach toys are available to borrow (no cost). No access to Laundry room. We live on the next door property and can help if you need anything. We also have a pet pig, and boxer dog on the property. Secluded. Quiet and peaceful. Kiwis often call at night. Native conservation area, please treat our environment with respect. No loud music or parties allowed. You must have your own car. There are no public transport options. The roads are gravel (not paved from Colville or Coromandel on). The best road to take is via Colville, we don't have any shops near so remember to bring everything you need :)
