Family home near Portreath

Characterful family home in popular village with brand new kitchen, shower room and bathroom. Within walking distance to Portreath beach and just a short drive away from Perranporth, Hayle and St Ives. Note: COVID-19 : Guests have their own lounge and exclusive bathroom. The shower room will not be available (as being used by Ian & Lesley). Inside there is a newly fitted kitchen with electric oven, hob and dishwasher. Dining room with large table, beams and fireplace. The shower room is located off the kitchen. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms (1 x double bedroom with drawers and wardrobe, and 1 x single bedroom). There is a living room which guests can use with a large corner sofa and flat screen TV. The upstairs bathroom has a bath. Outside there is a good sized patio, which is a real sun trap, with table, chairs and parasol, should the weather allow! We also have sun loungers which guests are free to use. Children welcome. Note: We have a cat who is very friendly. Apologies if you are allergic to cats. Guests are free to use the upstairs living room with a large corner sofa and TV. Shared bathroom, shower room and kitchen. The downstairs living area and main bedroom will be shut off to guests. We live at the property so will be on hand if needed. We are very sociable people & are available at any time for a chat or to give tips on where to visit - sight seeing or eating/drinking. The set up of rooms does give guests much privacy if this is what they want. Illogan is a popular village which benefits from 2 x shops (1 with P.O. counter), fish and chip takeaway, Indian take away, hairdresser 1 pub in very easy walking distance, chemist & 2 doctors' surgeries. You can walk through Illogan Woods down to Portreath beach (about a 20-30 min walk.) Just a short drive away there is the beautiful Tehidy Country Park and the North Cliffs (coast path) - perfect for walking or running. Within a 30 minute drive you can easily get to St Ives, Newquay, Perranporth, Falmouth and Truro. There are some fantastic family days out nearby plus no shortage of great pubs and restaurants nearby; we will be happy to advise of our tried and tested favourites. Our house is on a bus route but a car is recommended to explore. Sorry no pets allowed.
