Family friendly lodge, situated on Marina View North. Laurel Lodge has a spacious open plan lounge with large central patio doors that boasts a view over the marina. An ideal lodge for get togethers, sleeps up to six guests with two double bedrooms and a twin room. The master bedroom has en-suite WC with shower and other bedrooms share a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The lodge is equipped with high quality soft furnishings and includes memory foam mattresses throughout. Laurel Lodge is a 5 minute walk to the Boardwalk which has a pub, cafes, shops and restaurants with outdoor seating. There is a BBQ girl just two minutes from the lodge. There is on site support. You will be met at the marina security gate and taken to the lodge. You will be shown where everything is in the lodge. There is a visitor booklet with information to make your stay pleasurable. We are five minutes away if you need anything. Kevin & Trish Mercia Marina is a gated community with over 200 narrow boats and 20 lodges. The marina is a haven for many different birds including black swans. Laurel Lodge is a 5 minute walk to the main marina piazza where there are coffee shops, restaurants, specialty stores and pub. The village of Willington is a 10 minute walk along the canal. The village boats three very good pubs, a coop store a, a post office and rail station. Willington is eight miles from the City of Derby and Derby County FC. It is six miles form Burton-on Trent the brewing capital of England. Short drives there are many places to visit including: Calke Abbey (National Trust) Chatsworth Alton Towers Park Peak District National Park with its many walks. Derby Cathedral. Bass Brewery Museum. Melbourne Hall. Eyam village. There is a bus stop at the marina entrance. The railway station is a 10 minute walk. Speed limit of 10mph is strictly enforced.
