Bear River Retreat for Writers and Artists

This spacious all-inclusive unit is within, but separate from a large Victorian -style home. The self-contained space has been designed and created by a writer for writers and artists. The bachelor suite concept space is self-catering, complete with kitchenette, washroom with toilet and shower, and open seating and sleeping concept. Be inspired by vineyards and wineries, the flow of the tidal river, historic buildings on stilts, unmarked walking trails, and the quiet natural spaces within. The space is located separately in a large Victorian-style historic home. There is a private entrance to the three-room retreat, complete with sleeping area, washroom and work and lounge space. There are others in the large house, but they do not have access to this space. There is an art studio and two other rooms that are currently being utilized. Parking is free on site as well as in the village. There is no public transportation. All amenities are in walking distance. The neighborhood is the village. The village of Bear River is located upon the river of Bear River. Other than for daytime traffic and the occasional sound of the fire alarm from the local fire station, the environment is quietly conducive to creativity. Other sounds include birds and eagles that soar along the river. One neighbor is residential while the other is a converted church art studio. There is access to fresh fruit and vegetables and locally made pasta. The convenience store and convenience store gas station has most essentials, including baked goods. These amenities are all in the neighborhood. Residents and shop owners are friendly and happy to converse. There is no public transportation. The entire village is visible from most locations. Parking is free and accessible. There is a house cat named Charlie on site as well as a canine friend named Molly who visits on occasion. The double kitchen sink is just outside of the bathroom door, strategically placed to serve both rooms.
