The Old Carthouse at Druid Farm
The Old Carthouse is one of two holiday homes located on a 40-acre farm, ideally-situated for those who seek the peace and tranquility of the British countryside. The three-bedroom cottage sleeps up to six people. The Old Carthouse is fully-equipped and furnished, offering three bedrooms (two double, one with bunk beds). Bed linen, electricity, TV, Wi-Fi (50mbps) and central heating are included. Ample on-site parking is available. Guests are also free to use both the shared and private garden. The surrounding farm land is very quiet and relaxing. Druid Farm is within 10 miles of the cities of Bristol and Bath, yet far enough away to avoid being disturbed by them. Guests have exclusive use of The Old Carthouse. The host lives in a nearby house on the farm. Guests are always welcome to ask questions and for assistance. Equally, guests can choose to not engage with the hosts. Set in the green pastures of the Chew Valley and surrounded by gently rolling hills, the cottage is adjacent to the Two Rivers Way footpath, and is close to the River Chew which offers game and coarse fishing. The neighbouring fields hold three Bronze Age stone circles which pre-date Stonehenge. Walkers will be rewarded with stunning views in all directions. The Wi-Fi was upgraded in December 2020. Download speeds now exceed 50mbps, upload speed is around 60mbps.
