Charming accommodation to soothe your soul! Ocean's Edge offers self catering air conditioned stylish accommodation on the beach and is situated at the end of a quiet cul de sac. This beach house is split level and accommodate 4 people upstairs in the main house and 2 people downstairs in a studio with small kitchenette - there is no internal access between these 2 levels. The house boasts 180 degree sea views. Ocean's Edge is an open plan holiday house built on the side of a dune in Umdloti. The house is fully fitted to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A quiet cul de sac ensures a tranquil holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of the main beach. Guests have exclusive access to the entire house As hosts we will not be present during your stay but will be available via cellular phones should the need arise. Umdloti is a quiet little village nestled between Umhlanga and Ballito. It is conveniently situated with access to King Shaka International Airport and major shopping centres only a 15 minute drive away. Adjacent to Umdloti you will also find Mt Moreland Conservancy, where the barn swallows gather between November and January every year. Pack a picnic basket and watch them descent at sundown. Ushaka Marine World in Durban is an approximate 25 minute drive away and offers a host of activities/water park and numerous restaurants. Both Umhlanga and Ballito also offers vast entertainment options. The Eat Street Market recently opened at Lifestyle Centre Ballito and boasts a number of great eateries, pubs and gin bars. Umdloti has some of the best restaurants in KwaZulu Natal and the tidal pool at the main beach is a popular spot. Kite surfing and stand up paddle boarding is popular on the nearby lagoon. The surrounding sugar cane offers mountain bike tracks for the more adventurous. You are sure to see dolphins early morning whilst you sip your coffee on the deck at Ocean’s Edge. Uber is available in Umdloti. The topography of Kwazulu Natal is vast hills and valleys, hence this house offers open parking on a steep driveway and there is also 1 parking bay on road level. Parking at the top of the driveway is more suitable to vehicles with a bit of clearance. There are stairs leading up to the house. This house is fitted with an alarm system. The wrap around deck is a wooden deck with cabled railing so smaller children have to be supervised.
