Experience gracious hospitality in a calm oasis
Set in a lush sub-tropical garden, this one of a kind experience in one of the largest original homesteads in Kenmore will be a memorable stay! The apartment has its own entry, lounge, kitchenette, large bedroom and bathroom entirely at your disposal. The scent of freshly made bread may wake you every morning, as it's included as part of your complimentary continental breakfast. Your hosts are an international couple that have travelled extensively and are delighted to receive you. This unique renovated apartment delivers character in spades! Nestled in its own corner of the larger homestead, your apartment has its own private entry and offers a calm, restful stay. If you're just wanting to relax and refresh, or experience all that stunning Brisbane has to offer, this is a great place to start. The kitchenette is well equipped if you'd rather just stay in, but the crisp blue of the swimming pool might just entice you for a swim. The comfy queen bed invites you to lounge and watch a movie. In every instance you'll find the ambience very beautiful, with warm and inviting hospitality. Guests are welcome to use the pool Leon and Sonja are your hosts for the entire stay, and are available to meet you at the level of interaction you'd prefer. For your comfort, and for a small additional cost, Leon and Sonja will assist with airport pick up and drop off, offer an international fully cooked breakfast or dinner, or even an afternoon tea on the upstairs deck overlooking the pool. Sonja also runs her own sourdough bread baking classes, if you just can't get enough of the bread she bakes for your breakfast! Within a 5 minute drive, you'll find yourself at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary (world's largest koala sanctuary), or the historic Brookfield trading store, or the Brookfield reserve (for all our enthusiastic bush-walkers and bird-watchers). For those wanting more modern adventures, the very large Indooroopilly Shopping Centre is also 5 minutes away. There's a dining precinct as well as cinemas at the shopping centre. You're also within walking distance to authentic neapolitan pizza at Violetta's, really good Chinese food next door to that, and then there's the Kenmore Tavern, where a beer or two with your steak or schnitzel goes down really well! Public bus transport is available at the top of the street, and the train is only 15 minutes from the city. Leon is often available to drop you off at the train station. The bus or train will also bring you to the CityCat ferry, which delivers you straight into the heart of Brisbane whilst enjoying all the river views along the way. We're also only 11.5 kms from the city centre, should you have your own transport. Free parking is available, as well.
