See what living liking a Korean is really like! -The place is located near a university so there is always something going on. Lot of po-jang-ma-cha's and cheap restaurants where local people eat -There is an Emart across the street which is like a major discount retailer, similar to Walmart (in name even) and Lotte Dept Store and Lotte Cinema -Across the main street there is an alley that is one of the few Chinatowns in Seoul. The interesting thing is that these are mainly Koreans who immigrated from China, not Chinese however authentic Chinese dishes from northern China can be found there. -Best of all the Han River is only a kilometer away! A beautiful 20 minute stroll will take you to its banks and the Ttuksum resort is more like a harbor with riverside eateries and playgrounds. 4. Final Comments Location! Location! Location! You can get to Gangnam in 10 minutes, city center in 15 minutes, but still live in a nice place at a reasonable price and the absolute best spot for transportation. 2 subway lines, multiple buses, and the airport bus itself literally across the street. If you cross that river, prices double, check it out on airbnb and you'll notice. The river itself is only half a mile wide, why not enjoy it all without paying for it all. However, the apt complex is not actually on the street where they are and so it is quiet at night. The apt complex is also quite high and the unit is high so there is no worry about noise at night. There's a 24 hour convenience store on the first floor and a dessert cafe on the first floor that is actually really good. Being a university area, prices are cheap since they are geared toward students. Paradise if you don't have a car. Subway 2 and 7 CONNECTED to the building meaning you get there even if it rains or snows (which it does quite a bit in Seoul) Multiple Buses run RIGHT in front of the apt complex Avis rent a car across the street. If you want, bring a license and just ask me. 20 minute walk to Han River (주차없습니다) I just started to host and so I am willing to bend over backward for you! Like it says in my profile, I was born and raised in the states but have lived in Seoul for the last 11 years so I'm fluent in both English and Korean. Actually English is my first language. I know the city like the back of my hand so I think I will be your best resource. Second thing is that this place is literally linked to the subway! Line 2 is incredibly useful! Gang Nam station, Shinchon Station, Hong Deh Station, Samsung Station and Chamsil station are all on it which means you can get to these places with NO transfer, straight shot. Number 7 line is good too since it cuts through the world famous Chungdahm area with stops at Chungdahn station and Hak Dong station. There are numerous bus stops into Gangnam and it takes less than 10 minutes to get there without the gangnam prices. Trust me, I live here and work and play in Gang Nam. I've also lived in Gang Nam and this is the way to go.
