Garden flat near Finsbury Park
This is my home, but because my partner lives in the main house above, I am able to let my flat from time to time. The minimum stay is for seven nights. This is a compact, well-equipped flat. There is a sitting room with a three-seater sofa, dining table and chairs, 37" TV with Virgin Media (subscription to Netflix and Amazon Prime videos), radio, DVD and CD players (with a few classical CDs and DVDs), and books. Wi-fi. The bedroom has a 4'6" bed with hanging space for clothes (I will remove some but not all of mine), and a chest of drawers with some spare drawers. There is a Bose radio in the room. The kitchen is well-equipped with a large Bosch fridge-freezer, gas cooker, dishwasher and washing machine; crockery and cutlery, and a lot of cooking utensils. I should tell you that half of the kitchen has a LOW CEILING (about 5'9") The flat has a separate entrance with some rather steep steps down to its own front door. There is also access to a pretty, quiet back garden with table and chairs. I live with my partner in the main house but also have the flat as my little 'pad', so when I have guests I move upstairs. So most of the time I am available if you need advice about the local area or travel within it (Except in August/September when you can contact me by email or telephone). North Islington is a vibrant, multi-cultural area of London. There are good restaurants, shops, and pubs and a multi-screen cinema in easy walking distance, and an excellent small local theatre at Finsbury Park. [Because of the pandemic, these facilities will be subject to social distancing, and you are required to wear a mask on public transport and taxis] Finsbury Park station is a 10-minute walk away (or a short bus ride) with Victoria and Piccadilly Tube lines. It is two stops to Kings Cross/St Pancras and five stops to Oxford Circus. And there are numerous bus routes into London from the end of the road; literally a 2-minute walk away. The Piccadilly line takes you from Heathrow direct to Finsbury Park Station (approx. 1hr 20mins). I provide bed linen and towels, but if you stay for any length of time you will need to do your own laundry. Apart from the washer, there is an ironing board and iron.
