On Sandpiper - Absolute Beachfront Macleay Island

We would like to share with our guests a most unique experience. Our home is situated at Sandpiper Beach on beautiful Macleay Island. The entire lower floor of our house is yours to enjoy and just a step outside your door is a sandy beach! No roads to cross or parks to walk through, the beach is literally a step away. If a quiet, peaceful, low key getaway is what you are looking for, look no further. There are no stairs to climb, the entire space is on one level. We offer a spacious bedroom with air-conditioning, a galley style kitchen complete with a coffee machine, toaster, microwave, kettle and electric frypan. Large living area with views of our lovely garden and includes Foxtel. There is also a BBQ available to use and an outdoor setting for under the stars dining. There is an abundance of native birds to enjoy and sunsets that take your breath away day after day. You will have access to a swimming beach with golden sands and beautiful views back towards the mainland. We have a single kayak available for use as well. We live upstairs, so if you have any requests or concerns we are right there to assist you. We are very close the the bowls club and the local fish and chip shop. There is also a great coffee shop locate nearby too. Lovely walks along the foreshore are a must and there is a heritage trail for those looking for a longer walk. Our island has a taxi service and a small bus service, and all the clubs have courtesy buses that can pick you up and drop you back again. The entire island has a footpath that runs along the middle of the island, great for bike riding or a walk. Travelling to the island can be by either the passenger ferry that runs every 30 minutes or so from the Redland Bay Ferry Terminal or you can book your car onto the vehicle barge that runs services every hour or so. If travelling by passenger ferry we would be happy to collect you when you arrive.
