This 2 bedroom self-contained, fully furnished, bright, airy and spacious bungalow is only a 1 minute walk from the beach. It has a stunning sea view from its own private, raised, leafy garden, a beautifully secluded space ideal for eating, drinking and relaxing. The home is perfect for a family holiday, or a relaxing getaway for couples, and is in a very quiet part of the resort. Beautiful coastal path walks are also right on the doorstep. The main living room is large and comfortable, with 2 big sofas, thick carpet, wall mounted TV, dining table, chairs and large sliding glass doors to the lawn at the front. The double bed in the main bedroom has a high quality comfortably firm mattress. The bunk in the 2nd bedroom is also very comfortable, and can sleep three (1 up, 2 down). Both rooms have plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The kitchen is a good size and comes with hobs, cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and a wide range of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. The bathroom has an electric shower, full size bath, a wall-mounted fan heater, and a large sink and toilet. On the back patio is a picnic table, a large brick barbecue, and lots of space for bikes, beach equipment etc. Between the kitchen and the bathroom are also a multitude of hooks on which to hang towels, wetsuits, swimming costumes etc after a sunny day on the beach! Private check-in is the norm. The nearby beach, bounded at each end by cliffs, possesses many rock pools and its own lido, created by the causeway, for those who enjoy calm water swimming. At low tide it is possible to access a couple of miles of beach towards Seaton. A small stream also enters the beach, providing endless opportunities for children to build dams and any number of creative water features for endless hours! There is a beautiful cafe/restaurant just by the beach, with an ice cream bar in the summer, as well as a stylish bar raised slightly higher with stunning views out to sea. Kayaks, canoes, and wetsuits can all be hired here too, and there are an assortment of beach toys that can be borrowed for a donation to the RNLI. The large grassy field between the bungalow and the beach is a great place for children to play, kick around a football or just let of steam. The path down to the beach is flat and tarmac’d, so access is especially easy. Most of the other bungalows in the valley, and the villas on the hillside, are also run as holiday lets. Valley Resorts own most of the land and the beach, and have plans to redevelop as much as possible in the near future. The bungalows opposite have been condemned (they sank when the valley flooded a few years ago) and are due to be demolished at some point. The coastal path passes through Millendreath just behind the beach, and affords stunning views in both directions. It is just over a mile to Looe (heading west) and about 2.5 miles to Seaton (walking east). The bungalow is available for 2-night bookings except during early spring to late autumn. There are no shops in Millendreath except a small one run by guest services next to the car park that sticks essential items, so you might want to do a supermarket shop before arriving. Otherwise there are small shops in Looe (6 mins drive away) and supermarkets in Liskeard (16 mins drive away) and Saltash (24 mins drive away). Everything in the bungalow that requires power is run on electricity. There is a meter which is charged by smart cards which can be purchased nearby (see house manual for details). The issuing machine takes notes and pound coins. Average family usage in the summer is about £1.50 per day (approximately double that in the winter). Parking is in the valley floor car park (which is 100m from the bungalow, along a paved pathway that crosses the open grass area). There is a weekly tariff of £20 (or monthly of £40) offered at the Pay & Display machines.
