Lovely studio flat in the gardens of Rose Cottage plus 2 bedrooms, large lounge and dining room in Rose Cottage itself. The owners live onsite in another part of the house. Located close to the villages of East Budleigh (home of Sir Walter Raleigh) and Otterton both with pretty thatched cottages, 2miles from the sea at Budleigh Salterton surrounded by lovely countryside and 12 miles from the historic city of Exeter and Junction 30 of the M5. Great for walking and Cycling, Beavers live closeby! In Rose Cottage guests have their own private lounge with 65 inches flat-screen TV with Sky and comfortable leather sofas, and woodburning stove ,also flat-screen TVs in bedrooms. The house has been furnished to a high standard with many antiques and luxury touches. Guests have the majority of the house to themselves with plenty of space to relax you will not have to share facilities. The Studio is in the garden of Rose Cottage just a few yards away, The Cottage has no close neighbours and is situated in the Otter Valley surrounded by lovely scenery in half acre grounds with tropical parrot aviaries in the garden plus an Orchard. Also heated Hot Tub available all year round (subject to availability) with decking areas and summerhouse with log burner. Not suitable for children under 12. Guests can access the large garden with Hot tub, summerhouse with Log burning stove and decking areas Hosts usually on hand most of the time, for advice on the local area for walks and shopping and places to eat 10 minutes walk from the house brings you to the beautiful River Otter- home to Beavers which can be seen most nights . 40 minutes walk along the River to the beach at Budleigh Salterton, you can also join the coastal path, It is a short drive to the Regency seaside town of Sidmouth with its many cafes and independent shops and in the other direction the seaside town of Exmouth with its long sandy beaches. Only 12 miles away and pre-dating the arrival of the Romans in AD 50, Exeter’s history is rich and long with its unique Underground Passages, free Red Coat Guided Tours, magnificent Cathedral, imposing Roman wall and beautiful Quayside. Exeter is also home to the award-winning Royal Albert Memorial Museum where visitors can explore the city’s 2,000-year history under one roof! The Cottage is 20 minutes walk from the Otter Estuary Nature Reserve is a 57-acre ( (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) ) Local area is Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) consisting of tidal mudflats and saltmarsh. Abundant coastal and country and riverside walks, Buses from East Budleigh- about 10 minutes walk. Trains to Exmouth and Exeter. Can get a Taxi from Exmouth or Exeter Railway stations. Breakfast is provided for all guests- including the Studio, even though there is a Kitchenette in the Studio
