Lovely house for 4 with private plunge pool

Ancient stone-built house for 4 people, 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with shower. Lovely sun deck just behind the house with private plunge pool (whirlpool, 220x240 cm) and loungers. We are at 5 km from Bagni di Lucca, 30 minutes drive from Lucca and about 1 hour drive from Florence or Pisa. This ancient stone-built house of about 120 square meters is spread out over three floors and comfortably accommodates 4 people in two double bedrooms. On first floor a large living room and a small bedroom with double bed (140x190 cm) and ensuite bath with shower. On second floor a large bedroom with double bed (140x190 cm) and ensuite bath with shower and bathtub. The basement provides another living room with cable tv, comfy sofa and dining corner, a separate kitchen (w. oven, fridge, four burner cooktop) and a laundry room. Stepping outside you'll find a lovely sunny terrace, with private plunge pool (whirlpool 220x240 cm), garden furniture and beautiful view on surrounding fields and woods. Our terrace is a perfect place for a romantic dinner or an afternoon of relax and reading. Our holiday home is located in the countryside and on the edge of a very small country village of just 50 inhabitants, crossed by a narrow road, accessible with small cars only (eg Fiat 500). Medium-large cars can be parked in the parking lot of the village, 250 m of paved road from our house. With small cars (eg Fiat 500) it is possible to get to the house. Otherwise, you can drive up to 50 meters from our holiday house to unload your luggage. For the transport of luggage / shopping bags you can use a small cart that will be at your disposal throughout your stay. An English speaking person (it might be even the manager) will welcome guests upon arrival. The manager is not always on site but she is always reachable by phone/SMS/email and speaks English. Idyllic location, slightly remote (though we have a couple of neighbors), about 5 km from Bagni di Lucca, nestled in the countryside of Lucca and close to the woods. Perfect for those who love nature and animals (including wild animals: with a little luck you can hear the fox and the cuckoo in the distance and see the porcupine or some deer on the road leading to our holiday houses). Also ideal for those who enjoy walking and want to forget for a few days the noise of the city. Closest grocery store in 2 km. Closest family run grocery store is at 2 km from us. They sell fresh bread and delicious "schiacciata" (flat bread) every day. Chez our neighbor farmers you can occasionally purchase eggs and seasonal vegetables (such as tomatoes, salad...). Bagni di Lucca (at 5 km from us), is a nice tourist resort, beloved destination of poets and artists in the past, where you will find shops and sport centers (big public swimming pool, tennis courts, chemist, supermarkets, etc.) and a spa. The traces of this glorious past can be recognized in its monuments: the English Church, the Chain Bridge, the Baths, the villas, the casino (the first to be opened in Europe). The town provides some very good restaurants, where you can taste our traditional cuisine. Enjoy beautiful walks, bicycle or horse rides on the hills around our property, full of churches and Roman parishes. For our more adventurous guests we recommend the activities of: kayaking, canyoning, rafting, etc. in the nearby adventure park. Lucca (25 km, 40 min. journey), Pisa (50 km, one hour journey) and the nearby Tyrrhenian coast (the beaches of Versilia-Viareggio, 50 km, one hour journey) offer other possibilities to have fun! Nearest airports: Pisa (PSA; 50 km, one hour journey) or Florence (FLR; 85 km, one and a half hour journey). Nearest railway station: Fornoli (10 km, 15 min. journey). Daily bus service from our village to Bagni di Lucca. Car is generally recommended. There is a daily bus service (about 4 runs a day) from our village (Guzzano) to Bagni di Lucca (10 minutes drive). The car is however advisable in order to visit the surroundings. You can use the train to reach Lucca and also Florence. Average distance by train: Bagni di Lucca - Lucca (30 minutes), Lucca - Florence (1 hour).
