Pedernec townhouse with extensive, secluded garden
This comfortable, well-equipped family town house, with extensive rear garden, offers an ideal base for relaxing and exploring the hidden gems of Northern Brittany: the amazing beaches, coves and harbours of the Pink Granite coast; the historic area of Paimpol; the fascinating Lannion market; or the ramparts and battlements of Guingamp. Sample local galettes, crepes and Breton cider as you travel further afield: south to Quimper or Quiberon, or west on the excellent N12 to Brest and Finisterre. This is an old Breton townhouse of character which retains many distinctive original features. The whole house except the attic space and storage spaces. Pedernec is a large village which serves as a hub for the smaller communes in the outlying rural area. It has good local services, including the town hall (mairie) and a large community centre (salle des fetes). Facilities include a bakery, a pharmacy, a hairdresser, a pub and a small supermarket, all within very short walking distance. The post office is manned from 14:00 to 16:00 Tues-Fri, and for a couple of hours on Saturday mornings also. The nearest large supermarket is in Begard, about 4k away. There's a golf course there also. Parking is on the street immediately outside the front of the house. There is an infrequent bus service to Guingamp in one direction and Lannion in the other. The bus stop is just along from the house to the right on the corner.
