Feel free to bring a book you would like to leave for us or other guests and take one of ours! :) Over Haddon is a tranquil village in a picturesque setting above one of the premier limestone dales in the Peak District National Park. Independent, family run up pub (Lathkil Hotel) only five minute walk from the property. Wholesome food, local and guest ales plus a selection of bespoke gins. One of the best outlooks in the Peak District. 1.5 miles south west of Bakewell, or a 30 minute walk through the fields. The market town is famous for its puddings and tarts! Attractions in the vicinity include Chatsworth and Haddon Hall; Abor Low Stone Circle; Magpie Heritage Mine; Stanton Moor; Cratcliffe Tor and Robin Hood's Stride and the Monsal Trail. Matlock, Castleton, Kinderscout and eastern gritstone edges like Stanage are all within a short drive. Excellent location for road cycling and mountain biking. Beautiful walking country with both limestone dales and gritstone moorlands to explore and a wide range of venues on both rock types to challenge climbers and boulderers alike.
