Charming Old Cotswold Cottage

Situated in picture-perfect Upper Slaughter, Kineton Hayes is a great base for exploring the North Cotswolds, offering a peaceful and private space to retreat away from it all. One of the oldest buildings in the village, our Grade II listed cottage dates back to the 1600s. We have recently extensively refurbished the cottage - we hope you'll enjoy. You'll have a personal keycode for self-checkin, allowing you to arrive and enjoy the cottage as your home during your stay without interruption . Our lovely Cotswold stone cottage is over 300 years old, and as you might expect, exhibits all the charm and quirks of an old home, including the traditional honey-coloured stone, old wooden beams and steep staircases. You will be able to contact us by phone, message or email during your stay - and hopefully we can resolve any problems quickly. We also live locally, so can usually attend the cottage without too much delay if necessary. Upper Slaughter has all that you might expect from a Cotswold village - the charm of the honey coloured Cotswold stone houses, nestled in a valley where the River Eye meanders its way through fields where sheep graze and the quietness of the countryside is broken by birdsong. The area around Upper Slaughter boasts many fine walks, and cycling routes, as well as being a great base for a driving tour of other towns and villages. Larger towns including Cheltenham (30 minutes), Stratford upon Avon (40 mins) are within easy reach by car, while other North Cotswold locations like Stow on the Wold (10 mins) , Bourton on the Water (5 mins) and Broadway (25mins) are virtually on your doorstep. Like most of the Cotswolds, Upper Slaughter is most easily reached by car. Once you are here, the countryside awaits where driving, walking and cycling tour opportunities abound. The maximum number of dogs allowed is 2, due to the limited size of the cottage and outside space. Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture, and must not be left alone in the property.
