Kristy's Cabin - at Speakeasy Vineyard

Your own private retreat in the middle of Queensland's Granite Belt. Situated on a working vineyard, Kristy's cabin is a modular building that has been converted for guest accommodation. Recently renovated, the space is clean and fresh, with beautifully appointed interiors. Located behind the main house, you will have privacy but be able to access the outdoor spaces and take in the breathtaking views. Kristy's is the perfect base for busy outdoor hikers or those wanting a relaxing weekend away. Although small and compact, the space is warm and cosy and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Ideal for couples, the cabin features two separate bedrooms, separate kitchen and bathroom. The space has been renovated specifically for guest accommodation and is clean and warm. Bedroom one has a queen bed whilst bedroom two or living/lounge has a double bed pull out sofa bed. It will be predominantly set as living/lounge with quick and easy access to the bed. The kitchen has a kettle, toaster, microwave, gas cooker and fridge. All utensils are provided. The outdoor patio has a potbelly stove for warmth and ambience. In addition to the inside spaces, there is also an outdoor pizza oven, firepit, and picnic areas to take in the picturesque surroundings and vineyard views. It is close to the host main house, however you will have your own space and left to enjoy the cabin, vineyard and all the working farm has to offer. There is a gym on site, where I run personal training and fitness classes - which you are free to use if you like. I am always around, and available for questions or needs during your stay, however I respect your privacy. Located just 10 minutes from Stanthorpe, the cabin is in a convenient location to access all the Granite Belt has to offer. Ballandean is in the heart of Queensland's wine country and is a popular destination for tourists all year round, but is most popular in the winter. Visitors come to enjoy the cool days and frosty mornings. There are at least 50 different wineries across the Granite Belt with many winning national and international awards every year for their products. If you need somewhere to start, join the Strange Bird Wine Trail, tasting your way through 30 Granite Belt wineries including the renowned Ballandean Estate Wines. There are many options for foodies on the Granite Belt, with restaurants showcasing local produce. Southern Queensland producers pride themselves on offering some of the best ‘paddock to plate’ food experiences in the state. The cabin is in the perfect location for those wishing to explore Girraween or Sundown national parks, or perhaps just take a bushwalk around the hills on the property. With breathtaking views, and clean crisp fresh air, the Granite Belt has all that is needed to relax and recharge even the most stressed out city slicker. Ballandean is located 3 hours from Brisbane, or 2 hours from Toowoomba. There is no public transport in Ballandean and no Uber. Taxis do service the area, but can be very expensive. If you plan to indulge in the local wineries, it is probably best to organise a designated driver or book a wine tour.
