This flat is unique for it combines the authentic atmosphere of the 17th century building in the very centre of Stockholm with the contemporary comfort of the modern design. I have been an airbnb host and traveler for nearly 5 years and know the expectations and needs of the guests. The 56 square meters apartment is located on the top floor of a 4-storey house, and though, as most of the houses in the Old Town it has no elevator, the ancient staircase is wide and comfortable to go up due to its shallow steps. Inside you will find no straight corners and straight lines and the ceilings are not high - but it creates a unique and fairy-tale like atmosphere. We preserved the authenticity of the place to the very maximum and at the same time we did not want to do it on the expense of your comfort. The apartment is completely renovated and looks much better that on the photos since we are awaiting for the professional photos to be uploaded. The brand new kitchen designed in retro style is equipped with the dishwasher, induction cooking panel, new electric oven, microwave, large fridge, flat TV with Netflix and all utensils necessary for cooking. The dining area has big oval table which is great for 6 people. The kitchen/dining room is located between the 2 large separate bedrooms. In the master bedroom you can enjoy the brand new 160 cm queen size bed with the brand new mattress and a coach that can be folded into 140 cm double bed. For the convenience of our guests we prepare an extra mattress on top of the coach when it is used as the bed. Of course we provide you with clean and fresh bed sheets, top quality pillows and blankets made out of hypoallergenic materials by Scandinavian producers. In the master bedroom designed in the retro style that matches the atmosphere of the flat, you will find a large wardrobe to store your things. The carpet on the floor has a special heating underneath to keep your feet warm at anytime. Next to the bedroom there is a working place with a beautiful desk by the window and a bureau. All necessary things, such as iron and iron blade, vacuum cleaner, etc is located in a special storage room next to the bathroom. The bathroom is clean and fresh and equipped with the shower, toilet, washing and drying machines, which is not always the case in Swedish homes. The second bedroom is furnished with 2 brand new and very comfortable sofas that fold each into a double 140 cm bed. All furniture is brand new and fresh. In this room you get a large wooden wardrobe and a chest of drawers with a lot of storage space as well as a large flat screen TV with Netflix. You can regulate the light and enjoy the romantic atmosphere of the place with freshly painted walls, ceilings and floors. Few minutes walk to the Metro (Gamla Stan), less than 10 min walk to Central Station (T-Centralen) and the City with the largest shopping centers. Few minutes walk to Sodermalm with various bars, restaurants and nightlife. The shops, tourist streets, many restaurants and cafes are just downstairs. All major sites of attractions are around the corner or within the walking distance. Close to the waterside, embankment and stunning views. It is hard to imagine the better location for your stay in Stockholm! Everything is within the walking distance, from Metro stations and bus stops, to Central station. There is a staircase that you will need to take to the third floor and ceilings are lower than might be expected: 2 meters high.
