Style with village serenity moments from Falmouth
Two miles west of the buzzing Cornish town of Falmouth is the small, charming village of Budock Water. The village has a cute shop, a well regarded pub and CJ’s restaurant serving modern Cornish cuisine, and is just five minutes' drive from the university campuses. The whole area is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty and there are many superb coastal, country and creek-side walks all within a few miles. We are situated on a quiet, no-though lane within the heart of the village. The accommodation includes a double room with an extended super kingsize bed (2.2m long and 1.8m wide). There are double doors opening onto a juliette balcony overlooking the gardens and a large Velux roof light offering views of the local gardens and countryside. There is plenty of storage for your luggage including a large built in wardrobe and a chest of drawers. A dressing table (or desk) and chair look out over the garden, allowing you to work comfortably if needs be. Wifi is available of course. Immediately adjacent to the room is a lovely modern bathroom with a comfy bath and a sizeable shower. There is also a landing area with a sofa for your use. Our guests are welcome to enjoy our gardens and there is safe off-road parking for your car. There is free off-road parking for your car here at the house. The lovely Trelowarren Arms pub is just 80 paces from our front door and has both indoor and outdoor accommodation and a great range of high quality food and drinks. Our local village shop is next door to the pub and is run by the delightful Gaynor. She stocks lots of super local products as well as newspapers, wine, chocolate and other holiday treats. We'll generally be available to answer your questions and provide any local knowledge or recommendations you may need. Otherwise we'll leave you to enjoy your stay. We have lived in Falmouth for five years and enjoyed a busy summer of hosting at our previous address in 2020. During that time we haverned a lot about the local area, what is popular and all the best places to go. We look forward to sharing that with you to allow you to get the very best from your stay. There are many ways to get about and see the local area, from walking and cycling to sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding. We know the best local taxi firms and there is a bus stop less than 100 yards away.however you want to see Cornwall we can advise and Budock Water is a super base from which to do so. We can store your bikes in our garage during your stay. You are also more than welcome to borrow our two-person inflatable kayak (also useable by one person). We invite you to enjoy our gardens too and to use our superb electric barbeque (so simple even I can cook perfectly on it, local fresh caught mackerel work particularly well).
