Wayfarer Bell Tent
Here at West Lexham we have 7 glamping bell tents available, all with access to luxury facilities. If your preferred dates aren’t available, be sure to search for our West Lexham website. A luxury upgrade on the traditional Norfolk camping holiday, all of our bells have a double bed and a single/day bed for a restful night’s sleep. An extra mattress can also be added for £50, making them ideal for a fun-filled family holiday. You’ll wake each morning to the sounds of the birds and nature rising with the sun. Our site spreads across 21 acres, where our gardeners work hard to create vibrant habitats for wildlife to flourish. During the school holidays, we welcome many families so there are always plenty of friends for the little ones to play with! Kids especially love splashing in our heated outdoor pool (May to October), taking rowing boats on the lake and toasting marshmallows over the campfire. A wild swim in the freshwater lake is an experience we encourage everyone to try, and we urge you to go exploring and discover the Japanese meditation garden. Each of our tents are elevated from the ground and are decorated with colourful bohemian blankets and upcycled furniture, with plenty of twinkling fairy lights for a dose of magic. Bedlinen, bath towels, hot water bottles and a torch are included. West Lexham is a fully catered site with our very own West Lexham Garden Kitchen providing your sustenance morning, noon and night. We have switched from being a self-catered glampsite to a fully-catered, biodynamic extravaganza. Our cafe is for our on-site guests only so you’ll always get a table. The Bell Tents don’t have a plug socket in them but you’re very welcome to charge your phone in the kitchen. We have fantastic facilities available for you to use in the Garden Wash House. Here there are multiple bathrooms with a shower, sink and proper flushing loos… they even have under floor heating! One of the bathrooms has a bathtub and a baby changing table. We have planted every type of tree and shrub indigenous to the UK here and work hard to promote habitats for wildlife. In spring and summer, the site is alive with glorious flowers attracting many happy bees and insects. If you’re looking to immerse yourself in nature and a slower pace of life, West Lexham is the perfect sanctuary. There is a love of the land and a belief in sustainability in its most all-encompassing sense at the heart of all that goes on here. We are run on over 90% renewable energy, with heat provided by our renewable wood chip boiler. Our deliciously mineral-rich drinking water comes from our own chalk spring and are grounds are nurtured to be a paradise for conservation and wildlife.
