An ideal base to visit Nottinghamshire’s attractions. Welcome to the Garden Studio at Hardwick House! As Air BnB Superhosts, we have created this space specifically with guests in mind. We’ve designed what we hope is a functional, flexible and relaxing space for you to enjoy. Please do ask us if there is something else that you need or would suggest for future guests. This is a self-contained studio located within the garden of our house. We have used a contemporary garden theme within the studio to bring the outside in. The Garden Studio at Hardwick House comprises a double bed with pocket sprung mattress, Fogarty bed linen, two bedside tables with lamps, a wardrobe with hangers and shelves, towels, a full length mirror, hair dryer, bin and lots of storage space for suitcases under the ottoman bed. There is a Smart TV from which you can log in to your own Netflix, Prime Video etc accounts or ask to use ours. There are sockets either side of the bed, including 4 USB sockets to the left of the bed, and another two sockets to the right of the table. The table, with two chairs, is suitable for dining or working from and can be positioned in two different locations. The kitchenette comprises two eye level cupboards, two undercounter cupboards, sink and drainer, a fridge with small freezer space, a microwave, kettle, toaster, single induction hob, chopping boards, tea towels, saucepans, sieves, crockery, cutlery, glasses, mugs, grater, peeler, corkscrew, bottle opener, wooden spoons, chopping knife, cling film, bin, dustpan and brush. Please ask if you require anything that we haven’t provided. The ensuite comprises a flush toilet, electric shower, sink, mirror, under sink storage, Neal’s Yard Remedies shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, toilet paper, toilet brush, toilet cleaner and Neal’s Yard Remedies room spray. There is free WiFi available. Free parking for up to two cars is available on the drive. Due to its location within the overall property and having its own separate entrance, The Garden Studio is available all year round. We do have a friendly cat who lives with us and is very likely to say hello and join you in the studio should you let her! Therefore we are not suitable for those with severe allergies. Access is via the garden gate which is located on the drive. You will have a key to to the Garden Studio. Contactless Check-in is available via the use of a key safe. Please let us know if you prefer this option? As hosts, we cater for a variety of guests: those who just want a pit stop for a night, workers wanting a functional and calm space, holiday makers looking for a relaxing and conveniently located base and those looking for a longer term place while they relocate or undertake a contract or training course. We know that each guest has individual needs, sometimes seeking privacy, sometimes seeking company and we are happy to accommodate all. Please feel free to come and go as you please, ask us for any help or recommendations or join us in the garden for a glass of vino when the weather permits. We will always give you a friendly welcome but leave the rest to you. Sherwood has lots of great restaurants - all within a short walk from our home. You can select from Indian, Italian, French, Japanese, Polish, English, Caribbean, Portuguese, Spanish and more. There are several pubs and bars to choose from including one specialising in craft beer and another in gin and lots of cafes open during the day. We are just a few minutes walk away from the award-winning foodie destinations The Crimson Tree and The Bakehouse. We're just a short 10 min drive away from the City Centre and everything that has to offer, but we also have lots of local amenities including Woodthorpe Park which is ideal to walk around (with or without a dog!). We're only a 5 min drive away from the City hospital and dependent on traffic, 20 mins from the QMC. Guests often remark on how strange it is that they feel like they're in the countryside when they visit us yet are just a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Sherwood has an eclectic feel to it with a strong sense of community and a very creative one at that! There is a regular calendar of events such as Sherwood Art Week (which includes crochet bombing of benches, light poles and anything that can be wrapped!), craft fairs, yoga and pilates classes, Sherwood Open Gardens and much more to enjoy. We're on a major bus route to the City Centre with the nearest bus stop being just 5 mins walk away. We're a short 10 min taxi ride away from Nottingham train station and Broadmarsh bus station. Yet, we're also within easy reach (by car) of the North Nottinghamshire countryside and attractions such as Newstead Abbey (Lord Byron's former home), Patchings Art Centre and Centre Parcs. You may also like to treat yourself to a holistic therapy while you're here as Beki is a complementary therapist and we have a therapy room set up at home. Choose from Aromatherapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Ear Candling, Holistic Facial, Indian Head Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Reflexology, Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage, Reiki or Swedish Massage - or a combination of 2 in one session. We know that long or multi-destination stays means laundry and we are happy to make our washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities available to you. These are located in the utility area of the main house so will be shared with us and will need to be co-ordinated with our own usage. You are welcome to make use of the garden when the weather permits. There are several places to sit and during weekdays, while the children are at school, it is tranquil.
