The Boardroom at The Beach House

Based upon a surfing theme this beachside apartment with sea glimpses is only 20 yards from the golden sand of a beautiful Cornish cove. A brand new space. Cleaned at a high standard following guidelines. A comfortable modern bedroom, a well equipped mini kitchen, breakfast bar & a luxury private en suite shower room. A terrace and BBQ area and safe private parking. A quiet beachside holiday base 2 miles from the harbour town of Falmouth and 100 yards from The Cove Restaurant and Bar. The Boardroom is set up with a King Sized 5 foot bed and a half kitchen which is ideal for preparing breakfast and snacks. It has a microwave with a grill facility, a kettle and toaster and a full size fridge with a small freezer compartment. There is a Smart TV in the apartment, please note it only offers Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, BBC iplayer, YouTube, ITV ect (THERE IS NO DIGITAL TV) we hope this doesn't put you of, as you can still access loads of movies, box sets, the news via the apps on TV. There are an array of fantastic sea and beachfront restaurants within a short distance and a host of takeaways if you want to stay in, or set up on the beach and enjoy the view while you eat. (Please note there is no cooker at The Boardroom and it is not set up for cooking substantial meals.) A gas barbeque is available for your stay at an additional cost and can be pre booked with Amber. A saucepan and frying pan are available for BBQ use if you want to cook up an al fresco feast. Kayak hire is available on site and can be pre booked with Amber at an hourly or half or full day rate. Please note for guests staying more than a week, a weekly additional cleaning charge is applied and a weekly service with bedding change and cleaning will be mandatory. (this is to ensure that your stay is not only comfortable but The Boardroom is kept clean and fully maintained) For peace of mind, we would like to make all of our guests aware, we take pride in our high standards and part of this is following the Airbnb guidelines especially the cleaning routine to make sure everything is washed down and disinfected. To make sure our guests are comfortable and have a safe stay. Amber is your host but she does not live in the house attached. She will be available to assist you throughout your stay and you can contact her via Airbnb messages or (Hidden by Airbnb) or text message or phone call. On the south side of the beach, The Boardroom is based around a surfing theme, It is a self contained bedsit style apartment with a private en suite shower room, within The Beach House located in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The beach, which is 20 yards away, is gifted with an array of water sports opportunities with Kayak's available for hire from The Beach House and Paddleboard hire on the beach. Dependant upon the conditions, surfing, bodyboarding and scuba diving are regular Maenporth past times. There is a Yoga and Paddleboard Yoga, available on the beach. There is a small beach cafe within yards of the water for hot and cold drinks, ice creams and snacks. The Boardroom will give you immediate access to the south west coastal footpath, which is only feet away from the door, where you will enjoy breath-taking sea views, discover gorgeous quiet coves and experience the breathtaking scenery that Falmouth Bay has to offer. The Boardroom is a matter of 100 yards walk from The Cove Bar and Restaurant which is run by the renowned chef Michael Caines. It offers a fixed price and a la carte menu and serves food to an award winning standard for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Booking is advised! Mawnan Smith village (with post office, general stores and The Red Lion Public House) is just 1.5 miles away. For a good range of coffee shops, independent stores, delis and restaurants, Falmouth town is 3.5 miles and Truro is 12 miles. The Helford River renowned for it's safe sheltered waters is close by and there are many good beaches all around with Maenporth beach on the doorstep. Durgan is approximately 2 miles away on the Helford River and well worth a visit, as are the beautiful gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah nearby. There is an 18 hole golf course in Falmouth and a 9 hole golf course at the Budock Vean Hotel (approx. 2 miles), as well as spa facilities, an indoor swimming pool and restaurant, all open to non-residents. It is advisable to have a car but taxis can be easily booked locally and takeaways can be delivered so there is no need to travel further than the cove if you don't want to. This self contained apartment is attached to a family home they also have a dog that lives with them, she loves humans but she does not like other animals, so we have a strict no pets policy. Bbq hire is £10 for up to 3 days use or £20 for 4 to 7 days use (The barbecue must be returned clean or a cleaning surcharge of £15 will apply) Single Kayak hire is available from the property : £10 an hour £30 half a day (4 hours) (between 8am and 1pm or between 1pm and 7pm) £40 a full day (8 hours) Please note that the barbecue is used at your own risk. You are responsible for it’s safe operation and reporting any faults to the host. The Boardroom is equipped with a fire extinguisher and blanket should they be required. Kayaks are hired solely at the guests risk. If the hirer is inexperienced then they should enquire about instruction before use. A Buoyancy aid will be supplied with each kayak and should be used at all times. There will be a surcharge if anything is broken or not returned as it left when hired. Many thanks
