Please feel free to contact me by selecting the 'Contact Host' option on airbnb for any query/requirements. - Mayank The place consists of 2 bedrooms which are private, 1 pvt bathroom, 1 kitchen (guests are free to cook meals!), a big lawn to bask in the sun (also a big umbrella to save you from it!), pretty flowers of all kinds and a backyard which has a tiny kitchen garden in it. We also have our own plum, apricot, orange and apple trees so if you're in season, you can eat all you want for free! This listing is meant for family groups of 3 to 6 persons only. For bigger groups, we have Cozy home listing and for smaller group we have the Nomad Suite. Please don't book incase your group is bigger or smaller than the specified number. In such an eventuality please call us to check the availability and the rate. We charge on per person basis and accordingly the accommodation is provided. Incase the number of guests is less and guests wish to have the entire listed accommodation then the guests would have to state so and be willing to pay additional charges for the same which will be at least equal to minimum number of guests or actual number of guests whichever is more for which the accommodation is meant at the homestay. We believe in offering value plus services to our honourable guests and have kept our rates reasonably less. Further lowering would mean compromising on the quality standards, so guests are requested not to ask for additional discount. At times due to technical issues we may not receive your message and not be in a position to respond to your questions. In such a case please book and call us to seek clarification or tell us your requirements. You may cancel your booking incase we are unable to meet your requirements. You will be refunded the cost of booking. Guests are free to access all bathrooms, kitchen area, lawn and every facility in the accomodation at their own will and will be treated like family. I may not be there all the time, but my father and my mother will be there to attend to any needs with warm heart and friendliness. It is located in the village of Basal, which is about 2 km from Chambaghat, Solan. General store is just 2 minutes walk from the accomodation. It is one of the few less populated areas left in the town of solan. Perched at an altitude of about 1550m, which is higher than solan, the climate is somewhat cooler than that of the city. There are proper tarred roads for evening walks, a day hike to karol which can be done, a helipad, natural pine forests to walk and much more. Overall, it is a very peaceful and silent place to be. Many attractions, including the state capital, temples, monasteries, rivers etc are within an hour to two hours distance max and can be inquired about on demand. One can hire autos for about 50 Rs. (one way) to get back and to from the city. Alternatively, the Basal-Kandaghat road lies ahead of the accommodation which is known for it's natural beauty and can be explored in car/ 2 wheeler. You can expect to have high standards of hygiene in the accomodation. Privacy is ensured. My family does not consume meat of any kind, nor drinks alcohol so please refrain from consuming/ cooking the same in the house. You may make your own arrangements in private. Please do not smoke inside the house. Also please do not leave cigarette butts in the garden/lawn area.
