It is a stunning location which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage is a warm and inviting space which sleeps 4 guests. A multi-fuel stove and gas central heating makes this a cosy and charming retreat. The cottage is situated on the doorstep of Arnside Knott. It is the perfect choice for couples and families alike. Arnside has 2 pubs along with a variety of shops and cafes. The fish and chip shop serves fabulous takeaway food. The Albion pub is the perfect place to watch the Arnside Bore or one of the infamous sunsets. The local walks take in historic woodland and the beautiful Morecambe Bay. For those who like to explore further afield it provides easy access to the Lake District (30 minutes drive to the shores of Windermere) and the Yorkshire Dales. Windermere, Sedbergh, Kirkby Lonsdale, Lancaster and Kendal and Cartmel are but a short drive or train journey away. A 6 minute train journey across the stunning viaduct takes you to the Edwardian resort of Grange Over Sands. There are a number of outstanding walks and trails locally. The village is a popular destination for cyclists and has all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The Space Mews Cottage is situated adjacent to the woodlands of Arnside Knott. This is great for those wanting to stay in a traditional cottage with beautiful scenery on its doorstep. It is a ten minute stroll to the beach. Car parking for 1 car is under a covered car port to the rear - access via the garden and through the conservatory. The property can also be approached via its own patio front garden. The front door leads straight into the lounge. The cosy space includes a smart TV and a multi-fuel stove. This is a perfect spot to relax after a day of walking or sight-seeing. The kitchen comes fully equipped with an electric hob and oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge freezer, washer/dryer and a dining table and 4 chairs. The bathroom includes a shower over the bath and WC. Children are welcome to accompany adults and a high chair and travel cot are provided. Please bring bedding for the travel cot. Upstairs on the first floor are the 2 double bedrooms and the bathroom. The cottage also has a conservatory with a comfortable suite. Outside, there is a secluded, secure and peaceful Victorian walled garden and a patio area with seating. The garden is great for relaxing, eating and at night watching the stars and the lovely bats that come to visit and feed at dusk. One well-behaved dog is welcome but we ask that you recognise that, as we are a beach location, you clean your dog off before entering the cottage after walks and they are kept off the furniture and beds. Please bring your dog’s bed and bowls. Guests can access the full house and garden areas I can be contacted by telephone. Arnside is a beautiful village situated in South Lakeland, on the shores of Morecambe Bay. It is an ideal location for guests who want a quaint, picturesque village that also offers easy access to the South Lakes, Grange over Sands and Cartmel, Kendal and Yorkshire Dales. The village itself has 2 pubs and a variety of independent shops, a bakery and cafes as well as a fabulous fish and chip shop. All are about a 10 mins walk from the cottage. There is also a train station that can take you to Grange Over Sands and Lancaster and Manchester. There is a train station in the village that allows access to all stations between Lancaster and Barrow In Furness. Sometimes steam trains travel along the line. A 6 minute train ride takes you to Grange Over Sands. A car is useful to allow you to explore the real beauty of the area and the lakes. If you are bringing a dog please bring their bed , blankets and bowls. If you wish to use the travel cot please bring your own bedding.
