"Salt Bush" Original Beach Shack Completely surrounded by the beautiful Yuraygir National Park makes Diggers Camp truly unique. It has something for everyone with uncrowded beaches to explore, surf and fish. Great bushwalking tracks and an abundance of wildlife, flora and fauna. The whole of Diggers Camp is totally off grid therefore at Salt Bush you will be staying in a self-sufficient dwelling utilising it’s rain water and solar power . No heating appliances can be used eg: hair dryers, toasters, heaters etc and turn lights and power points off when not in use. Water is precious at Diggers so please keep showers to a minimum and turn off taps. All windows and doors are screened for your comfort Salt Bust is furnished tastefully but simply. The first bedroom at the front of the house has a triple bunk with a double below and single up top. There's a white chest in this room with extra blankets if needed. At the rear of the house is the main bedroom with a plush king size bed. Parents please note, this room is separated from the house through the back door and across the deck. All guests need to bring bed linen and towels. The kitchen has energy efficient appliances including a gas cooktop and oven .Out on the rear deck we have a gas BBQ and dining area . For basic needs Wooli General Store is a 15min drive away next to Pub and bottle shop. There is a slow combustion fire in the lounge room for chilly nights and plenty of wood located up the side of the house. There's a TV and DVD player in the lounge player with heaps of movies to suit everyone . Please remember your staying in a national park and you will encounter various local native animals at Diggers especially our resident peaceful Goannas but please do not feed them. Please enjoy our home as you would your own . During your stay Salt Bush will be exclusively yours. If you need any help or local advice our caretaker Neville will be on hand to sort out any issues should they arise. Diggers Camp turn off is 1.5 kms past the Minnie waters intersection and 5 kms down a dirt road that is well kept and accessible with any vehicle. There is no public transport. Pillows and blankets are provided. Bring your own sheets (king, double and single) pillow.
