Hermitage San Bonifacio: charming house in Spoleto
Our charming and completely renovated house is in the sacred oak forest above Spoleto, only a few minutes from the center of town. It is carefully furnished with antique furniture, handmade ceramics and local materials such as precious terracotta tile floors, exposed wooden beams, and travertine coverings. Outside, the ample terrace shaded by ancient oak trees. Here you can enjoy the shade, have a drink or eat. Inside is the large living room with dining area, a table for 8, fireplace and TV. The house is immersed in peace and nature. With every breath, you feel the sacred forest that was populated by ancient idolatrous peoples, then the romans and finally the monks of St. Francis. You can use the entire inside of the house. I do not live in Italy so for any information, you can reach me via (Hidden by Airbnb) . However, there is a contact person in Spoleto. You reach the house via an unpaved road. The area is pleasingly shady and cool in the hot summer months. There are a few other hermitages around, but the neighborhood is very quiet. From the house, there are several trails for walking, hiking or mountain-biking. It is advisable to arrive by car, which you can park 30 meters from the house. From here you can visit other important cities of art like Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Trevi, and the Valnerina valley. For gourmets, there is a lot in the area: black truffles in Spoleto, olive oil tastings and the famous Sagrantino red wine from Montefalco.
