The Lodge is on a site, which gives you a great vantage point over surrounding fields and stunning sea views. A short stroll to the bottom of the Park takes you to the bay and its crescent beach. A myriad of recreational facilities available and for those who want to get it away from it all, beautiful countryside and coastal walks. The lodge is of very high specification and was given a 'Platinum' renting when rented through Park Dean Resorts. Lounge area: display and storage units, 3 piece suite (includes double sofa bed). Views over the Solent, patio doors onto the veranda. Dining area: has a table and 4 chairs also 2 breakfast-bar stools Master bedroom: includes King size bed with under storage, fitted wardrobes and drawer units, vanity unit, bedside cabinets, wall mounted TV. En-suite has shower cubical, handbasin, storage cabinet and toilet. Bedroom 2 : has twin single beds, bedside cabinets, fitted vanity unit, wardrobes. The family bathroom has bath with overhead shower. Handbasin and toilet OUTSIDE: parking area, storage unit to the rear, fitted decking/veranda to front and side of the lodge, table & 4 chairs - views over the Solent. The lodge is beautifully fitted throughout and equipped to a high standard. Wi Fi is free in the lodge and in the bar area The Lodge is situated on Thorness Bay Holiday Park just 3 minute stroll to the beach. Cowes, Newport and the pretty coastal village of Gurnard are only a few minutes drive away. From March through to the end of October on the resort the following facilities are available :- Swimming pool Bar & restaurant Fish & Chip Shop Entertainment Centre Games room Children’s sports and play area Shop Launderette Bus service through the summer month’s Please note that some of these services may require an entertainment pass that can be arranged at reception at a relatively modest extra cost. The lodge is in a beautiful setting in the Thorness Bay Holiday Park set amongst oak trees which are populated by red squirrels which are native to the Island. The Park's facilities are all within a short walk including bar/restaurant , shop/general store and launderette. Other facilities are available ( eg the club house which holds entertainment events , artificial football pitches , indoor swimming pool and more subject to purchasing relatively cheap passes on site ( please see 'Guest Access' on this listing or enquire with the owner for more detail about these) - please note some these facilities are not available all year round). The Lodge is situated a short walk ( 500 meters) from a sweeping crescent beach overlooking the Solent . The beautiful seaside village of Gurnard is a short drive away ( 30 minute walk) with attractive seafront pubs and a celebrated restaurant . Bus service through the summer month’s A number of reasonably priced local taxi firms will also readily come to Thorness Bay to pick up / drop off their fares. There is free wifi in the lodge and also in the reception/bar area. Sometimes the signal can be poor in the area. Please dismiss the review which talks of paid wifi. wifi was installed in the lodge for season 2021 W-machine door only opens 10 minutes after the cycle has finished. There is a hairdryer at the property There are no toiletries or washing up liquid/washing powder, dishcloths or beach towels at the property. Guests must bring their own. Bed linen and bath towels are provided. NO BEACH TOWELS AT THE PROPERTY There are 2 bedrooms and then also a double sofa bed in the lounge.
