The room is located at the back of the house with nice view of the garden, in a quiet well established residential neighbourhood. Off road parking on driveway. House is situated on the eastern side of Reading, in North East Woodley near open countryside. The River Thames at Sonning, The M4 and Heathrow Airport, Windsor Castle/Legoland/Ascot races are all within less than half an hour's journey. Train connections to London from nearby Reading Twyford or Winnersh Stations. Guests to use clean modern shared bathroom with modern walk in shower unit. Guests are also welcome to use the modern kitchen, living room and garden. Host is much travelled and speaks Danish and a little German and Spanish. Very sociable. Be prepared for a trip to the nearby country pub! This area of north east Woodley is on the eastern edge of Reading, Berkshire, and can therefore claim to enjoy the best of both worlds - Town and Countryside. Within 2 minutes of the house is a lovely countryside park called Ashenbury Park, with walks through woodland and grassland - great for jogging. Within 5 minutes is a small Tescos, a doctors surgery a post office an inexpensive gym, see (Website hidden by Airbnb) and a really funky indoor skiing centre (one of only three in the country) see (Website hidden by Airbnb) where you can receive expert coaching and have a drink in the aprés ski bar. (This place really needs to be seen!) Between five and ten minutes away is the incredibly beautiful Dinton Pastures Country Park, see (Website hidden by Airbnb) full of lakes, the Museum of Berkshire Aviation, see (Website hidden by Airbnb) (Woodley has a distinguished history of aircraft building) and the local shopping centre which houses banks, cafes, supermarkets and restaurants. The area of Woodley is also excellent for accessing local means of communications, road and rail. All in all, just a lovely place to be!
