Kingfisher Lodge, 30 Yealands

Yealands is a fairly new site, surrounded by planted trees with water features for the local ducks and other water fowl. We are opposite the main village where the restaurant, gym and pool are located. The Yealands is a quieter site, perfect for relaxing after a long day visiting the many local attractions. The site is on the border of Lancashire the Yorkshire dales and the famous Lake district. Local interest brochures in lodge and at reception. Coeliacs, and other allergy groups are well catered for locally. Within a ten minute drive you get all your food shopping and from locally produced farm shops and butchers. supermarkets, Booths,Tesco and aldi. WIFI is installed with great reception. All areas accessible. Pool, gym and spa have charges attached. Reception is the place for enquiries on the main site, however we do live locally so if required we are available. If you like steam train take a trip from Carnforth on the Brief Encounter steam special. The heritage train with Pullman carriages to dine in is a very popular day out. You can also visit RSPB Leighton moss (10 minute drive) and leighton hall estate. Greenland's farm village. (10 minute walk) going past the longlands pub. Sizergh castle,low sizergh barn cafe (20 minute drive) We are so close to so many great places to visit. Public transport is good. we are close to Lancaster and Kendal with the lakes a short trip by bus, train or car. The coastal Train from Carnforth all the way to Carlisle is great, we stopped off at Maryport for lunch by the harbor. The area is famous for walking and cycling with many trails to choose from.
