Our home is an old three level village house. There are three newly renovated bedrooms, of good size, heating and lovely linen. A single daybed is in the atelier downstairs. There are two new bathrooms, one on each of the top two levels. Wifi available. Wonderful central location. A lovely character home set on three levels in the main street of the bustling market town of Chauvigny. The house has been extensively renovated with modern conveniences but retains the old French charm of its era. It has been furnished with local brocante market furniture. Whole house. Wifi. Chauvigny is a beautiful medieval town on the Vienne River. It has its own Cite Medievale on the hill above the town. There are lots of different restaurants and patisseries as well as a good variety of shops. There are also two large supermarkets on the edge of town. Chauvigny is a bustling market town and has its big open air market every Saturday morning. Fresh produce markets are also on every Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Poitiers is only 20 minutes drive away. You can catch a taxi from Poitiers (around €50) or catch a bus. The house is situated in the Main Street so you it is very central and can walk to most places.
