Stylish garden flat. Ideal for exploring the Malvern Hills, Great Malvern & beyond. Situated on the ground floor of a family home it has been lovingly looked after by a young creative family who enjoy meeting new people. Accessed via the stone steps to the garden courtyard, with own front door. Lounge (double sofa bed), double bedroom (king size bed), kitchen diner, bathroom and laundry. Full of unique details & little luxuries it is comfortable relaxing. Child Friendly Lovely one bedroom garden flat, with double sofa bed in the lounge Situated in the basement of the house the deceptively large one bedroom flat is comfortable , bright and spacious. With your own entrance and front door its a separate hideaway for you. The lounge has a corner sofa bed, quirky unique vintage furniture, modern artwork, t.v and large patio doors with a view to your private terrace. Through to the modern kitchen which is equipped with oven, electric hob, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. The table comfortably seats 4 along wooden benches and is lovely space to cook and eat. Guest have separate space to hang clothes and store bags in a room situated adjacent to the double bedroom. The pretty and calming bedroom has a comfortable king size bed with crisp white sheets and duvet covers. The bedroom overlooks the garden and pretty former churchyard and is a cosy and relaxing space. Roberts Dab radio, lovely bedside lamps and vintage details, give this room a unique feel. The bathroom is simple, and functional, with a shower over the large bath, the traditional pedestal sink, with organic soap and shampoo. Chair and shelf to store your travel items. The outside space is accessed via patio doors to a private terrace with garden bistro set to enjoy a morning coffee or evening wine. We can accommodate children and babies now. We are able to set up a cot or toddler bed and have some books, high chair and playmat should they be required. The sofa bed in the lounge is comfortable and sleeps two. Please message us if you have specific requests regarding guest configuration! The garden flat is within an historic Victorian building, which was once a high class Victorian grocery store. Built from the local granite stone, mined from the Malvern Hills themselves. The street front shops once even welcomed Queen Victoria on her visit to the Malvern Hills. The shop was even an owner of a Royal Coat of Arms. Malvern was made famous by the arrival of the two Water Cure doctors in 1842. Their reputation spread quickly and very soon Malvern became a health resort in the same league as Cheltenham, Tunbridge Wells and Leamington Spa. Malvern is also famous for being the place of birth, death and inspiration for Edward Elgar. Florence Nightingale, Charles Dickens, Lord Tennyson and Charles Darwin visited the town on many occasions to ‘take the waters’. Jenny Lind, the Swedish Nightingale, Mark Roget the famous mathematician, and other titled Victorians settled in Malvern in their last few years. Cemeteries & blue Plaques around the town bear witness to their life and death here in Malvern. Private garden terrace accessed via patio doors within the flat. Sit and relax and enjoy. Please also feel free to use the courtyard. We are a young family living in the main house, we can be available to welcome you ... We are usually around and can help you with any local info you may need to know, places to eat and drink and visits, day out etc. However if you want to keep to yourself that is fine and we will leave you to enjoy a peaceful break . Malvern is famed for its beautiful hills and this is an area of outstanding Natural beauty, come and get a lung full of that country air. British Camp, the Black Hill and the Worcestershire Beacon are on our doorstep, and direct paths leading to parts of the hill can be accessed on foot in five minutes from the flat. There's loads of traditional pubs, and some lovely country Gastro pubs near. Croome National Trust is close by and is a favourite spot of ours. The Morgan Factory is situated in Malvern and you can arrange factory visits there prior to arrival, as can you at Eastnor Pottery and the Chase Gin Distillery. Bikes are welcome and great for exploring the hills and cycle trails. The three counties Showground is a few minutes in the car from the property and hosts many events through the year, the Malvern Flea and collectors fair for Vintage finds and the RHS Shows draw large crowds and this is the perfect spot visit them. Malvern Wells is situated a five minute drive from Great Malvern a thriving town with impressive theatre, Malvern splash pool and gym and many coffee shops and independent shops to mooch around. Within driving distance are Ledbury a pretty market town with a selection of artisan shops and outstanding farmers market. Worcester and Gloucester are both neighbours and Cheltenham is a fast 40 minute drive by car and easily accessible from Malvern Wells. Birmingham and Bristol airport are by car in just over an hour and if you need to get to the city London is on a direct GWR train route from Great Malvern. A car is advised, there are lots of hills around here... We can help with walking and cycling routes and bikes can be locked up in our garage if you arrange with us. Parking is outside the property on the main road. Easy to find a space. The Three Counties showground is minutes away, so an ideal place if you are attending an event there.
