Lovely flat in quiet spot 1 mile to West Cambridge
The Girnel (Scottish for Grain Store) is a fully enclosed flat with its own front and back doors down a very quiet lane - only a mile to the West Cambridge campus and Cambridge beyond. It has a small hall, large living room (6m long), separate kitchen, loo, shower and double aspect double bedroom. The flat is on the right hand side of the photo. A small enclosed grassed garden area is available for private use for The Girnel. Good wifi - c. 30mg. Parking & bike storage. Great location. The flat is in a very quiet location but we're incredibly close to the West Cambridge University site - less than a mile. And Cambridge Market Square is 2.8 miles. We are just over a mile from J12 M11 if you are driving. By bike you can get straight into Cambridge down a dedicated off-road cycle path. You get your own front door, a small entrance hall. Then there's a large living room with table and a sofa. Beyond you get a separate kitchen with a lovely view down the garden to a tiny stream. You have a small grassed garden space for your own private use. There is a walk through small shower/loo to a good sized bedroom with double bed, storage drawers and a wardrobe cupboard. There is a small wooden desk and wall mirror, plus some wall mounted shelves for books and personal effects. It's simple, but comfortable. Everything you need for a private escape to work or stay. We look forward to welcoming you. The place is all yours and you have a small area of enclosed private garden outside. We believe in keeping out of your way. Happy to welcome guests, answer questions but beyond that it's up to you. We can make suggestions for things to do or stuff you might need. Cambridge is a great city for all the well known reasons. There's also a decent alt side to the city - search for "Alt Guardian Guide to Cambridge". Staying with us you can retreat into rural peace and quiet! We've seen kingfishers fly past you r window. In the village there's a good pub and a garden centre which has a good grocer and butchers shop AND post office. Very useful. The Citi4 get you pretty close to us. About a half mile walk. Taxi from Cambridge station is c. £11-12 one way. We have parking on the street outside our house. If you are driving to us: 1. Head for the M11 Junction 12. 2. Take the signs to Coton. Drive for 1 mile 3. As soon as you sign the village sign for Coton, take the track on the left 4. We are the white bungalow "The Old Granary" on the left 5. We have two friendly dogs, a cat and chickens. At night you'll hear owls (not howls). Little owls and tawny owls.
