I’ve owned Gallop View for almost 14 years. I designed and built it almost from scratch. It has been a true labour of love; I now want everyone else to also enjoy it... The lodge is at the heart of the riding stables, surrounded by trees and fields with views of the Bristol Channel. It is a perfect place to unwind, and also large enough to relax with friends. The bustling centre of Bristol is only a 10 min drive away. Inside, the lodge is warm and cosy and filled with quirky vintage furniture. The lodge is upside down layout, comprising three bedrooms. All beds are small doubles. One bedroom has double bunk beds. My love of quirky antique furniture shows throughout the space. The bathroom is spacious, and has two sinks and a generous size shower. Upstairs there is an open plan kitchen/lounge with a dining table that seats eight. Super comfy sofa for everyone to relax in. The views of Failand and across the channel to wales are breath taking. I also love the chance to watch my horses and Bella the sheep from the window seat. The garden is natural and offers privacy from the rest of the yard. There is a table with seating for eight. Four sun lounges and the odd tyre to sit on. 'The Yard Arms' is my pride and joy, every girl needs her own bar...! Access is via an electric gate, code will be given after booking. There is a second gate that I lock each evening. There is a key safe to the lodge, which keeps flexibility when arriving. The lodge has an alarm, again the code will be sent after booking. We have a folder with all useful information that you might need, to help you enjoy your stay. In this I have stated no visitors or extra guests. This is for many reasons, parking, security and everyone’s welfare. I’m happy to introduce you to all my lovely animals, but please all I ask is that when I’m not there you don’t go into the field/stable with them. I just want to keep everyone safe.. Mark and I are happy to give people space or equally socialise with them if free. Gallop view stables is set in a stunning rural location, close to the vibrant city of Bristol. A National Trust gem Tyntesfield house is a short walk away. Ashton court estate is also on the doorstep, great for mountain biking, walking and has two lovely cafes. There is the Failand post office and the Failand inn, a five minute drive away. We both love eating out and are happy to advise on restaurants. There are two golf clubs near by and also a health club. There are lots of beautiful walks from the yard; this is Mark’s expertise and he will be a good person to chat to. The yard is on a country lane, suitable for most vehicles. We have secure bike storage for eight bikes, and great mountain bike tracks locally. There is a bus at the top of the lane that goes to Bristol and Portishead. No visitors or extra guests.
