Lane House is a purpose built converted barn, tucked away down a country lane, a stone throw away from the Yorkshire Dales, and overlooking the Trough of Bowland. The Lake District is only 40 mins drive. Full of natural features with panoramic views of the local countryside. Country walks from the door. Walking distance from the village of High Bentham Ideal for walkers, cyclists, hikers and suitable for romantic get-aways. Your bedroom has green oak beams, soaring to the ceiling. Gallery-landing will be your breakfast area. Slate flooring in the bathroom, mirror demister, underfloor heating. Cafetiere coffee and teas and biscuits in the bedroom. Family artwork on the walls. One bedroom has outside entrance. The other has bath and rain shower. Guests can use the breakfast area on the galleried landing. Guests can use the Terrace outside ......(at the moment not the downstairs and kitchen area). See fabulous sunsets! We have 50 acres of land that guests can wander around, streams, woods and Cowslip Hill. As the nature of our home is open plan we are not able to share our hosting of this area at the moment. We are often busy in the garden or you may be able to watch Richard gigging somewhere locally. We can be around as little or as often as you choose. The village of Bentham is a market town with a weekly auction mart on a Wednesday. It has 4 pubs all offering food. A 10 minute walk away. Two supermarkets. a Chemist and a variety of shops. Ingleton is 2 1/2 miles away with the waterfall walk, a cave and other attractions like an outdoor swimming pool and a climbing wall. Clapham is 4 miles away and has a splendid walk along a lake and to another cave. Lovely area to wonder along the river. We have a train station in Bentham and there are busses going to and from Lancaster to Skipton. There is a taxi service, but it is important to book as he gets booked up quickly. We are predominately located at the end of a 200 metre long lane, overlooking the Trough of Bowland and the village of Bentham. Very little noise other than and owls at night. Fabulous sunsets and big night skies.
