House located in one of the banks of the river Douro with magnificent views, direct access to the river and private pool. A wonderful place to vacation with friends or family. The house is inserted in a farm with four other houses, however, it has total privacy. The farm has a housekeeper who is permanently employed. The house is about 10 minutes from Resende village, where there are pharmacy, banks, ATMs, supermarkets, mail and taxis. Resende is located on the south bank of the Douro River just one hour away from Porto. The house is only for you. The house is set in a farmhouse with four other houses, however, you will have total privacy. The gardens more distanced are shared with the neighbors. The farm has a landlord that is a permanent service but i`m always available The municipality of Resende is considered gateway to the wine country of Douro, a World Heritage Site, one of the largest national cherry producers. Its surroundings allow you to enjoy landscapes quite appreciated given the mountainous terrain marked by the river route and the Montemuro mountain. In this region you can find megalithic monuments, manors such as House of Soenga, King Harbor House, House Lagariça tower in whose environment is said to have inspired Eca de Queiros when he wrote the novel the "Illustrious House of Ramires' and which led to the house it would be known as the "Illustrious house of Ramires." Churches, including the Monastery of Sta. Maria de Cárquere, whose history is linked to the figure of Count Henry, Church of St. Martin of Moors, Church of Our Lady of the Assumption of Barrô. The spa of Caldas de Aregos, thermal room for treatment of rheumatic diseases, skin diseases and respiratory problems. The crafts, folklore and gastronomy are also the subject of appreciation in this region. The farm is about 15 minutes from the railway station Ermida and 20 minutes from the Régua. You can rent a car at the airport and the trip Porto-Resende lasts about 1h15m. All the details of the trip will be provided at time of booking
