Historic gite at foot of chateau near town centre

Built in 1646 from meteorite stone, La Terrasse du Citron is a stylish and perfectly located gite at the foot of the Rochechouart chateau, nestled on the edge of the countryside in the beautiful Perigord-Limousin Natural Park and just 15 mins from the lovely Charente leisure lakes. A charming 55 sq.m house with free parking and wifi, a private terrace, sleeping up to 4 and just a few mins walk from the wide range of shops, bars and restaurants of the historic town of Rochechouart. We purchased our historic gite at the beginning on June 2021. We then spent our time making it look beautiful, enhancing the charm and character of its interior, and transforming the terrace to a bright, vibrant outdoor space perfect for eating, drinking and relaxing. Perfect for two adults, or a family of up to four with children, the bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, the sofa bed in the lounge is a small double, and the kitchen/diner has a small day bed option if required. The bathroom is almost totally brand new, and much of the interior space is freshly and stylishly decorated, designed for convenience and comfort. Free parking is available in a small public car park less than a minute's walk from the gite. We live close by in Rochechouart and are easily contactable for any issues or queries. For the adventurous, numerous walking and cycling routes can be found from your doorstep, with a number of nearby lakes and rivers offering water activities. Staying local, Rochechouart, a gem of the Haute-Vienne, offers a fantastic mix of leisure and cultural attractions.
