Swiss chalet style apartment sleeps 6, near Gryon

Located close to the ski slopes, mountain hiking and a couple of restaurants our 2-level rustic style apartment is ideal for families & couples. Located in the village of L'Alpe des Chaux, a few mins drive from Barboleuse, Gryon & Villars. A T-bar ski lift, just a one min drive/10 min walk is linked to Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets. Children Under 6 ski free. Also, a free ski lift with nursery slopes and toboggan runs. Ski bus stop very close by. In the summer there is a lake for swimming. The open plan living area with high ceilings large windows makes the apartment feel spacious and light, and in the evenings, with the curtains drawn and the open fire lit, (free basket of logs supplied) it becomes very cosy. On two levels totaling 69m2, and with three bedrooms - 1 double on the ground floor and on the first floor, 1 small double and 1 twin room - it sleeps six without the need for sofa beds! The bathroom has both a deep bath and a shower to help relax those muscles after a packed day of activities. (Note the carpeted stairs to access the two upstairs bedroom are quite steep.) The duplex apartment includes a modern kitchen equipped with oven, hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, slow cooker, fondue and raclette machines, Nespresso machine (bring your own capsules please!) and lots of utensils. The living area has a large leather corner sofa and is equipped with Cable TV with many channels including UK, French & Swiss (French/Geman/Italian) plus a DVD player. There is also a variety of DVDs, board games and cards for your entertainment. A small balcony offers outdoor space to sit, relax and admire the views and sunsets. Electricity, heating, Wifi, basket of logs and parking are included in price. Mandatory tourist tax (per person per night) please complete the form in the apartment and the tax is to be paid at the Tourist Office, Barboleuse November to June : CHF 2.80 (adults) & CHF 1.40 (children aged 10-16). July to October: CHF 5.30 (adults) & CHF 2.65 (children aged 10-16). We ask you to remove shoes in the entrance porch and no smoking please. The carpeted stairs to access the two upstairs bedroom are quite steep. Bed linen and Towels can be supplied at a cost of £20 per person per stay We welcome one pet and charge £25 per week. The ideal getaway in the superb Swiss Alps region, with plenty to do throughout the year (Skiing, Golf, Walking, Cycling, Tennis, Swimming, Climbing, Ice-skating, Bowling). Nearby attractions include Bains de Villars, Bex Salt Mines, Thermal Baths at Lavey-les-Bains, Lake Geneva. The free ski bus stops outside the apartment and runs hourly during the ski season and less often during the summer months. It links to the train station at Barboleuse, (on the Bex/Villars/Bretaye train line) which also links from Geneva Airport. However, we would recommend that you have use of a car. Accidents happen we know that so just clean it up the best you can and tell us. If you break something replace it if you can, if not tell us.
