The Birch Retreat is an adult only property for guests who appreciate and prefer a more elegant and private style of accommodation. It is not ‘Themed ‘ or ‘Quirky’ and you will not need to meet your host. From the moment you arrive at the Retreat you will feel relaxed - and very comfortable. Curl up and simply rest with oversized comfy lounges, indulge in a cleansing steam or soak with two free standing baths (fluffy robes provided), steam room and wet room. Enjoy your meals at nearby award winning wineries or stay in and prepare your own meals in your fully equiped kitchen. Explore the beautiful Peninsula and return to your luxurious, semi rural Retreat @ The Birch - perfect! There are 2 locked rooms in the space that are not available to guests. The Victorian Government recently declared the Bellarine Peninsula as “a diverse region with thriving rural and coastal communities. Its unique natural beauty…and it’s historic heritage, ecological significance, distinctive landscapes and identity are widely recognised and celebrated.” Perfect for: Exploring picturesque, bayside wineries (5-15 mins) and boutique breweries (5 -15 mins) Cruising the Great Ocean Road starting at Barwon Heads (15 mins) Beaching it at Ocean Grove (10mins)and Barwon Heads (15mins) Discovering the Victorian charm of Queenscliff and Portarlington (20 mins) Walking the beachfront broad walk at Point Lonsdale (15 mins) Strolling down the road 200m to Lake Connewarre look-out or Simply snuggling up with a good book or Netflix in your very private, semi rural, luxury oasis. The Bellarine Peninsula is expansive and best explored by car. Uber and taxis are available. A number of buses leave Leopold ( bus stops are within 2 km of the Retreat) to continue along the Peninsula, daily. This property has a strict ‘guest only’ policy unless prior arrangements have been made.
