Writer's Cottage - on a storybook farm
Gardenfarm was created to be Paradise for all creatures. From your sunny cottage your views are soaring hills, a water-bird pond, a lovely wending river and secret forests. Poultry are roaming, and Bonnie is trying to get you to play fetch (Website hidden by Airbnb) **** You will be renting a self-contained, stand alone cabin, all to yourselves. Couples are most welcome. Your cabin has two bedrooms, big picture windows looking out to soaring hills studded with sheep and happy cows. There is a bath, shower, toilet, and kitchen/dining room. You can work from home via Wifi, or sit on the porch and watch the creatures roam the hills, splash in the lake, and live their lovely lives. There are other self-contained cabins on the farm, and the farmhouse, and one friendly and clever border collie sheep dog called Bonnie. It's a good place for thoughtful introverts, curious, observant and creative people who are living out their dreams. A few steps from your front door is a fenced and cultivated vegetable garden, you have pure rainwater from a tank, solar electricity, and gas for cooking and hot water. The house is fully furnished, so come with your suitcase and favorite objects. You can find out more about the farm by an internet search for 'Gardenfarm'. Gardenfarm is a valley utopia, in the foothills, enjoying a lovely wending stream, and secret forests. There are other areas for self-contained cabins, and the main farmhouse. Beautiful green dairy country paddocks with views of the foothills along the road to Hiawatha. The nearby town of Yarram is a friendly place with a creative arty community. The Local Woolies is huge and has surprisingly exotic food. At Gardenfarm we mostly eat from our own farm, and our mates provide us with home-grown pure milk and other extras. It's a 2 hour, 45-minute drive from Melbourne, through beautiful scenery. It's a 22-minute drive to the nearest town, Yarram, which has regular transport to Southern cross station.
